^ That is awesome!
I had an amazing day and was good to see people again!
Sorry I had to leave early, I had purposely booked the trains I had as they coincided with the parks apparent closing times. Apparently not.
For now, here are the group photos.
I'll post a full trip report...
I wanted to get the last part of this done last week, but college work has yet again put a stop to it!
Anywho, I've got a bit of time now, so here's the last part.
Thursday - Day 3 - Paris
This was our 3rd and final day. We would be home in the early hours of the Friday morning, but...
They are partly aware of it. They know I enjoy visiting parks and often go to them (especially Alton) but they don't know the full extent of it, like they don't know that I could name who builds the rides etc.
They didn't expect me to lead the way around the park. If they wanted a question...
I was really very impressed by the hotel. It didn't look like much on the website, but I was really surprised as to how big it was, how clean the place was and how friendly the majority of the staff were.
It was a good hotel for us due to being a group. We were in rooms capable of holding up...
About 7 weeks ago, the opportunity to go to DLP came about with college. However, this was a little different as the trip was intended for 2nd years rather than 1st years. But seeing as the places couldn't be filled, the trip was opened to some of us 1st years.
In total, 21 students and 2...
Okay, I have a bit of time and the patience to actually write a report now. :)
So Alton times.
I really hadn't been following the topic nor had I been following Th13teen. All I knew was to expect a fairly hefty queue for said ride and a long (and possibly wet) day.
So on the morning...
I had a wonderful weekend! Bloody knackered and achey now though.
Have some group photos
And some Drayton ones
I'll probably get around to writing up trip reports in the future (around Easter), but until then, here's the public links to the albums on Facebook...

1 - They use a wristband system, admission is free but if you want to ride it's a wristband.
The website will tells you more about it.
2 - The 5 coasters they currently have stay on site permanently. They own a couple of other coasters which they use to travel.
Some of the rides like the...
I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to pick the pass up during half term. The office has been open for the last February half term events, so I see no reason why you can't.
You'll be able to to use it for the event to, they don't refuse entry to AP holders during that week.
I haven't really given 2010 much thought yet.
I'm really going to take the year as it comes.
I won't be doing as many trips as what I've done in the past. I want to concentrate on saving to go to Australia in 2011.
But, Alton and Thorpe are most certainly going to happen at some point...
We got a tiny bit on Thursday, just as I got in from college thank god.
It has now just decided that it would like to show its ugly face again and is chucking it down.
I hate the bloody stuff, the UK can't cope with it! Public transport dies and you're stuck and either face sitting it out...
I've got the USB stick and the iPod.
I have to say I'm using my USB stick as much as I'm using my iPod lately.
I think the most people who will use USB sticks are those who are in education as it becomes very useful to take work from home to college and back again.
Actually, only the...
The name is certainly Thirteen.

If you click on theming, there is a rather large tree trunk that has been partly made from the steel used on Corkscrew.
There are some press releases on various news sites, probably more to come as the day progresses...
I've known about this for a while and for once it looks like Birmingham has lots of things to do over christmas.
If anybody does go to it and wants to meet up, then let me know. It's only a 10 minute train ride.
