I could answer this in a few ways, one of which would be to pick the 'best themed' coaster, however, I reckon to be the most complete and truly immersive coaster experience, it's got to be something primarily indoors whereby you are completely enveloped in said experience with no outside...
I think the UK public are rather used to many of the bigger attractions being of a shorter length (Stealth, Oblivion etc). This is of course, a bit more substantial than the aforementioned 2, so I'm not sure whether the average joe will even pick up on the length to be honest.
I think people...
I hope so, still, if that's the case, then are we expecting that they're simply going to repaint the existent structure as it is? Not quite the rebirth I anticipated for the great Nemesis monster.
I would love to see a footchopper/tunnel element added for the zero g. Give it even more...
Mr Pedantic here. If they go for even more black and red on the station... it could be a bit excessive. Perhaps a bit one dimensional?
Although the original station had some similar tones to the original track, it popped with some of the fleshy pink and red hues.
I forgot to add - this day will most likely never come.
We had the inevitable scaremongering letter back in either 2017 or 2018... since then we've had absolutely nothing.
Funnily enough, I now work with somebody who previously worked for tv licensing and she admitted there's basically little...
I haven't paid since 2016.
To be honest, my reason wasn't initially anything political, I simply just didn't/don't watch live TV or enough of BBC, ITV etc content to really need it.
I still use bbc.co.uk for news, but I tend to use as many varying news sources as possible to get a wide...
Belgium only has 12 extant parks, according to rcdb. There's not a lot of dead weight over there, and now that the likes of Walibi Belgium and Plopsaland are investing in subjectively world-class coasters, there's definitely an argument for Belgium being up near the top of the list of quality...
In your opinion, which country has the highest density of top-tier parks whilst also boasting the fewest mediocre/crap parks?
Simply, which country is quality over quantity?
Straight off the bat, according to RCDB, Sweden has 19 extant amusement parks. A rather small number. Without looking...
1. Alton Towers
2. Thorpe Park
[decent gap]
3. Pleasure Beach
[decent gap]
There's not really any other competition after that, although Paultons could certainly climb to 3rd given a decade or 2 (if they pull a Toverland).
At this point, I'm starting to anticipate that the station isn't going to drastically change. Perhaps the most drastic change would be the colour, with some of the exterior being overhauled, a bit like they did a few years back during the TLC.
I do hope I'm wrong. I think IF this new colour...
I think pre-shows, with the right ride and environment, can be a fantastic addition to the overall ride experience.
It is simply context as you mention in your original post.
AT did a great job with the promo showing the new Nemesis track in transit, so I wonder if we'll get that sort of thing for Exodus.
If I recall correctly, I think even Pleasure Beach made a whole song and dance about the track being delivered to site for The Big One.
Thorpe need to knock this...
I hope Thorpe pull out all the stops for the construction considering they're breaking the UK height record.
Even if Merlin put the same effort in to the marketing as they have with the Nemesis re-track, it's something for the press to latch onto and for word to travel
You raise some good points, and although I'm not sure on the answer to the question, the way I see it is:
- B&M is a high end, expensive manufacturer - therefore not hugely competitive when compared to an array of other well established manufacturers
- B&M coasters, as you have correctly...
