What seems to happen is what happened to me the first time I tried a drop like that in FVD++. (I was sort of mimicking Expedition GeForce.) As you roll in a force zone with negative Gs, the track pitches beyond vertical in a weird way that doesn't happen for a straight drop.
I half think that's...
I'm just surprised it hasn't been talked about more. These must be the longest trains on a beyond-vertical drop. The air should be intense!
Are the harnesses just lap bars or also some kind of OTSR (such as a vest attached to an overhead lap bar)?
It's something like that. For my example of Iron Rattler, consider this related situation: Diamondback's trains on Valravn. I've not done any calculations, but I'd imagine that drop creating unsafe forces in the back of the train.
If it's correct that Cedar Fair has worked with Mack for smaller rides, then they're my guess for that manufacturer to deepen the pool. I just can't see Intamin fitting the criteria. They haven't worked together since I305 in 2010, right?
What he means involves the second part of what you wrote. Think about some of the quick maneuvers on RMC coasters. I'm thinking of one particular hill on Iron Rattler. I've never ridden, but the POV makes the front seat seem like it has about as strong a pop of ejector air as there is on any...
That was the Texas Giant timeline, but RMC has much more experience and more extensive manufacturing than in 2010. The coaster is going up quick, and I don't think another full year would be necessary.
I won't call this a 2017 ride because the marketing would be too bizarre, but something isn't...
That operations are no good is a problem, but the rest of this seems to be saying that you're not making enough money because there are too many admission tickets being sold. Am I wrong?
I think this setup is not reasonable and reminds me of the Yogi Berra comment: "Nobody goes there anymore...
Steel Phantom is what came to mind, but I think it's probably for the best that it went down. My fondness for it has to do with riding it when I was a kid and had family in Pittsburgh. Having ridden old Arrows in the past few years and thinking they were rough and unpleasant, I can't imagine...
I think the answer is yes. Grown-up coasters are supposed to be powerful and frightening and intimidating.
A kiddie coaster could have a goofy name like Wacky Worm, but I think we're generally talking about bigger coasters.
Atlas wouldn't work for a coaster name. Too many people will think of a book of maps, not a Titan.
I'm a NoLimits 2 user, so I think about this with frequency.
Cold Fusion: It's a theoretical, futuristic form of energy that would be a good named for a launched coaster that allegedly requires...
I have to go with my favorite coaster before I rode Fury 325: Diamondback!
Everyone knows that Diamondback is a fun ride, but I've never seen anyone but me rank it #1. And that #1 ranking wasn't because I hadn't ridden anything else good. By the time I got on Fury and finally jumped...
Skyrush's first drop and CRAZY last hill
Phoenix's bunny hop finale
Fury 325's first drop, in the back, at night, with a loose harness (I was basically standing up during the drop)
Raptor's (Cedar Point) ending helix where your feet feel heavy
Incredible Hulk's launch, at least when Bruce was...
I've greyed-out in Nitro's helix. I was a crazy-hot day and I'd not been drinking much (mistake). It doesn't typically get me to grey out, though.
I305 had me grey out every time I rode. The force isn't so much more intense than other intense coasters, but the force is sustained for a long time...

The Great Adventure website lists El Toro as closed for the season. Anyone know why? That's my home park, and I want to ride it!
