Well, an Intamin Multidimensional coaster is planned for Legoland California, so it could well be Minecraft. This is definitely the right theme for Chessington also, given that it's a park themed to otherworldly adventures and animals.. Minecraft has all of that.
So it looks to be a ride adaptation of a fairly unknown 70s anime? Of course the original Treasure Island novel is pretty iconic, but if they have decided to adapt the animated film, why not simply adapt the book itself? Seems a bit strange to go for an obscure IP, unless it's a complete...
To be fair, with Universal GB on the horizon, Chessington kind of does need to focus on big external IP's now. A big IP like this would mean that Merlin won't have an opportunity to half-arse anything. If anything, it should hopefully mean that Alton Towers remains a park with original themes...
The official planning docs have gone live with more details.

A large themed center-piece in the middle of the coaster's outdoor section.
Interestingly, what looks to be a...
Point taken, my memory's awful lately. Still, I do think that Nemesis Reborn looks the part personally. Will eclipse Danse Macabre though? Of course not. Everything you see at Efteling is in a league beyond attractions you'd find even at a Disney park, in my humble opinion anyway.
It's a bit more substantial than simply a repaint if you consider the addition of multiple custom made theming elements like the new tentacles, the animatronic eye, thematic lighting and smoke effects, updated station interior, the new Phalanx base theming around Forbidden Valley and the Nemesis...
To be fair, Nemesis Reborn is pretty gorgeous if we ignore bog-standard Merlin elements like the shipping container and the unfinished nature of the landscaping (haven't been back since opening day so I don't know how it looks now). The updated parts of the station exterior are easily the best...
Had my smoothest rides on Hyperia yesterday, as well as my first ride in the front row. It's definitely riding smoother since it last stalled. A very solid ride experience in the front row also, though I slightly prefer it further towards the back of the train for the intensity.
I think Vampire still has some life left in it, it had a renovation a few years ago for its anniversary, but I am concerned about Tomb Blaster and Tiger Rock. While I'm sure this will be a lot of fun, it does seem that a few more pressing priorities have been ignored. Tomb Blaster honestly...
Paultons are extremely limited by how tall they can build, as confirmed by Lawrence Mancey at the fan event earlier this season. I'd expect the highest they can go would be around the 75'ft/80'ft mark like Magma is. They honestly won't even need to build a coaster as tall as that anyway. There...
