Have you even ridden Gatekeeper? It does offer a little bit of floater. I'm liking the look of this Wing Coaster, it should provide some diversity despite the standard first drop.

The minimum launch speed needed to clear the "top hat" with no wind is 85kph. 100kph is the maximum speed the launches can be dialled up to if required, depending on the wind speed and direction. This is also why "+100kph" was painted on the wall. It was only marketed as 85kph initially...

They aren't finished but those you see there are in their final positions. You can make out the ones for the final turn into the station.

It may end up being a custom layout and fair enough if it is.. but why would it be an issue if they went with a standard layout over a custom one for a prototype ride? Christ, the layout isn't even standard because none exist yet. I too would love to see something like Helix but I'm holding off...

Whichever company is constructing the physical hardware of the ride won't be on site until track and supports arrive in late October.

All footers and groundwork has to be completed by the time the park opens daily in April. Then, there will be no further work until the 2017 off-season, when supports and track will be installed. Trust me, of all people, I should know.

No pictures I'm afraid but a large drilling machine is on site creating various holes that will start to become footers over the next few weeks.
