Have you even ridden Gatekeeper? It does offer a little bit of floater.
I'm liking the look of this Wing Coaster, it should provide some diversity despite the standard first drop.
Perhaps but "Europe's First Vertical Launch" has a nice (and very "Drayton") ring to it. More importantly, we may see a coaster that actually runs more than one train!
ATI, you only need to use one '.' when ending a sentence.
Anyway, here is a concept that was floating around a few months ago:
I'm sure they've also considered a proposal from S&S, a Free-Spin I would presume. This doesn't mean either is happening.
The speed of each launch will be automatically calculated using an anemonitor. The system will measure the wind before each train is launched and a second time as the train travels the zero-g-roll, just before the second launch.
For those who have seen Mack's original concept video (the one...
The minimum launch speed needed to clear the "top hat" with no wind is 85kph. 100kph is the maximum speed the launches can be dialled up to if required, depending on the wind speed and direction. This is also why "+100kph" was painted on the wall.
It was only marketed as 85kph initially...
It may end up being a custom layout and fair enough if it is.. but why would it be an issue if they went with a standard layout over a custom one for a prototype ride? Christ, the layout isn't even standard because none exist yet.
I too would love to see something like Helix but I'm holding off...
All footers and groundwork has to be completed by the time the park opens daily in April. Then, there will be no further work until the 2017 off-season, when supports and track will be installed. Trust me, of all people, I should know.
