^ Croc Drop definitely wasn't 2.5m; I can pretty much guarantee that. Having worked on projects with the same hardware with maybe slightly less theming, I'd say it's sub 2m.
And let's not forget that just because a coaster is given a theoretical throughput capacity, doesn't mean it can't be exceeded. Chessington are actually pretty good with their throughputs, although these days their heavy (sometimes stupid) rules can get in the way of efficiency.
Oh, I must have missed that part, appreciate your bringing that to my attention... Still, 720, it's not too, too terrible.
Yeah, Dragons Fury does around 900 - 950 theoretical. I've hosted / operated it and we exceeded that number many times and got into the thousand.
Just got over covid and was hospitalised for 9 days, but I should be fully recovered by then, so please count me in for Thorpe Park.
Will let you know if my health changes by then. :)
This. Looks. Awful...
They could have used that pit as a swamp area where the croc lives and utilised the original walkways that descends into it.
Crappy presentation. The rockwork looks lame as does the "details" as shown in Chessington Buzz's report. It's like minimal research has been done...
Maps shouldn't be sold.
Welcome staff should actively inform guests about their online map function, which encourages APP DOWNLOAD!!! *erhhmmm* Theres literally a QR card that staff could have where you can tap onto a phone and the phone will download an app without even going to the app...
I don't think Chessington are being serious with their park... Really poor choice in hardware. Really poor choice in theme. Really poor choice just in general. Metal railings after theming.. Great slap job... Chessington always had a hook of being that family park with an adult ride spectacle...
A lot of the blame can be put onto Merlin damaging the price point of theme parks in the UK with their special offers and bogofs. Nobody in the UK expects to pay the full price for a day out anymore, and yet full price is perfectly normal in most other countries. This strategy only has a short...
^ I think it looks good.
It's Vekoma's first real multilooper in a long while and it's nice to see them enter the multi-launch market. It looks hella forceful to me.
I wanna do something like this. Would you be prepared to chat with me at some point? I absolutely love this and want to get my head around implementing the tech.
If it's anything like the mockup I saw during my visit to the Jora Vision IAAPA booth, it's going to be amazing. If it's plagued with budget cuts, then hmmm, flat buildings and water it is.
