If the rumoured rides are closed for part or all of the season, then it will be a sad day for Alton Towers. For a park that size to only have one operating dark ride would be such a shame. That coupled with the fact that they are all (with maybe the theme of Sub-Terra an exception) all family...
Re: Pleasureland Southport expansion?
Yeah, if its the one that was at Camelot (Gauntlet), then it was at Pleasureland

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2017
Yeah the park is unique in that the only planning permission it needs is if a structure is above xx height. (I am not sure what height it is). This then requires permission from the civil aviation authority due to the proximity of the airport /...
I've had quite a few season passes over the year. Held a Tussauds / Merlin pass from 2006 to 2015, but haven't had one since June 2015.
I have held a Six Flags pass since 2012, although as we aren't going to the states this year, haven't got a 2016 one.
Other passes I have had... Drayton...

Yeah the 10 Cloverfield Lane came out of the blue didn't it. I personally enjoyed Cloverfield, so I am quite intrigued as to what path the new film will follow. I mean there has always been stories and rumours about a similar film but following another set of people.
I received a letter from them on the 18th of December stating......
"......... At our last round of consultation we received a wealth of feedback which, along with new information from further studies we have conducted in the area, has allowed us to refine our masterplan. We are pleased to...
Just a quick question for anyone who has done one of the VR experiences on a coaster.... Does the system at Europa (and when they demo'ed it at Fun Spot) track head movements and place it into the VR world ie if you turn your head left does it change perspective or is it a fixed forward facing...
Re: Movie Park Germany to have plans for a big coaster in 20
Great announcement and a good location too, will dominate the entrance plaza. Another Mack as well... Brill !! :)
Re: Pleasureland Southport expansion?
Its great news if it goes ahead. The interesting thing in the PDF is that they state that there will be a tender process for a park to build and run the theme park, so I wonder if they will approach other operators as well as Dreamstorm?
Re: Alton Towers submits planning permission
The problem with using one side of the station for VR and the other for normal would be that if they are running three trains, you return to the opposite station that you get on. So you would have the faff of taking the headset off on the other side...
Ultimate at Lightwater Valley
RMC it.... Diving down into the valley run with proper track and trains doing RMC inversions would be great. Plus they would be able to make the run to the second hill more interesting.
Re: Walibi Holland to get a Mack coaster for 2016
This was a tad unexpected wasn't it? Nice to see a coaster being constructed with an air of mystery about it.
As furie said, if the park had been given the support by locals things may have turned out differently. Who knows, if the Vekoma Invertigo had been allowed planning permission in 2000, that could have been the catalyst to build on.
From Joylands Books news page
Coaster Express at Parque Warner was awful when I rode it. Roughest steel has to be the coaster at New York New York, tied with Iron Wolf when it was at Six Flags Great America. Awful.... :)
We have a trip planned to Stockholm which will incorporate a visit to Grona Kund and Kolmarden. Then we a weekend break to Copenhagen for Bakken and Tivoli.
Other than that, nothing definite yet. Have bought a Pleasure Beach pass so will be using that. Will get to Paultons at some stage and...
