Thorpe Park | Derren Brown's Ghost Train | VR Attraction

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train (WC16) | Thorpe Park | May 2 And to think I had high hopes for this  . Still looking forward to trying it myself, think I will lower my expectations slightly though. Such a shame, as I think done well, Thorpe really could have had a hit on their hands.

Worst coasters you've ridden (Bottom 5/10)

Not sure if I've posted in here before but my bottom 10 currently looks like this - 1. El Condor (Easily the roughest coaster I've ever ridden!) 2. Infusion 3. Blue Tornado 4. Diabolik 5. Klondike 6. G-Force 7. Revolution 8. Sequoia Adventure 9. Python 10. Magic Mountain Vekoma appears to be...

    Best Backwards Coaster Experiences

Expedition Everest is probably the only coaster with a backwards section that I enjoyed. The family boomerangs aren't too bad either come to think of it, but most of the time going backwards just makes me want to vomit. I never got a chance to try Swarm backwards which I'm a bit gutted about.

    Bubbleworks Closing

Sad to see it go as it's a ride I link to my childhood and have fond memories of. Lately its really been abandoned though - last time I rode it, half the effects weren't working including the flashing lights and fountains in the final room (which was always my favourite part). Intrigued to...

    Germany - June 2016 - Complete

Thanks! It's called Volla de Vinci (something like that) so I'm assuming so. Well the queue and station are themed at least.

    Phantasialand - July 2016

Argh I'm so gutted I can't get to the park this year! Glad to hear that Taron is as good as it looks, great report so far and some fantastic pics. Also the hotel looks amazing! <3

    Germany - June 2016 - Complete

Best finish this off then.... Day 3 - Europa Park Part 2 We started the last day early as we wanted to make the most of the ERT available to hotel guests. Only a few rides are open so we decided to go to Blue fire and queue for front row. I’ve realised that I forgot to mention Blue fire in the...

    Germany - June 2016 - Complete

Re: Germany - June 2016 - Part 1 Day 2 - Europa Park Part 1 We woke up nice and early and had a fab continental breakfast (which included mini donuts yay!) and were on our way to Europa. Frank was excited about driving on the Autobahn for the first time and when the sat nav told us the journey...

    Germany - June 2016 - Complete

Re: Germany - June 2016 - Part 1 Thank you, yep that's it, its either a kiddie cred or something unremarkable that you ride just to increase your coaster count :)

    Guilty Pleasure Parks

I love Thorpe and i'm not even ashamed to admit it, the park has probably the best ride line up in the UK in my opinion. I think Chessington is my Guilty Pleasure, although I think that has a lot to do with Nostalgia. Its starting to get a bit run down and hasn't had a decent addition in ages...

Day 1 - Tripsdrill & Holiday Park Decided earlier in the year that it was about time I got some German creds, so Frank and I booked up a little 3 day trip to hit some parks. On the agenda were Tripsdrill, Holiday Park and a park which I’d wanted to visit since I really started getting into...

Paultons Park & Thorpe Park CF Live Trip Reports June 2016

Re: Paultons Park & Thorpe Park CF Live Trip Reports June 20 Paultons Park Paultons has never really been on my radar, bar from a vague awareness of Peppa Pig World, so I was excited to head to a new park in the UK. The new area looks fantastic, with two great family coasters. Flight of the...

    Making Trip Reports

I have a little notepad that I sometimes take to parks with me and if i'm really bored in a queue I might scribble down a few notes. Or if its a long trip in the evening before bed I might write down a few thoughts. Its mainly because i'm forgetful, but you might find it useful :).

    "Injured" during a ride ?

I bruised my knees on Klondike at Hayling Island. On the first drop my bag nearly fell out, and as I went forward to try and catch it by knees slammed into the front of the car. My fault really.

    Copenhagen - May 2016

Day 1 - Sightseeing I wanted to go away for my birthday this year, so after having a look at flight options and seeing where I could get some creds, Frank and I settled on a long weekend to Copenhagen. The plan was to do the 2 parks and also a bit of sightseeing, making it a fairly laid back...
