Some 'gawjus' pics of Pipeline construction - I adore the color.
SeaWorld seem to be on coaster construction overdrive at the moment, I say, give the people what they want :D
A bit of a strange comment from the press release;
I personally wouldn't want to be highlighting that it's been 20 years since they last put in a new roller coaster. Quite a strange 'flex' and you realise how long Chessington has relied on Dragons Fury and Vampire to carry their coaster...
I believe that they will want it open for Easter - this is just for a TV advert so they could open it for Easter, get stress tested, and start advertising ready for Summer breaks.
The coaster is practically finished, and a majority of the big themeing elements are done too, so it's certainly...
It makes sense for them to purchase a ready-made park with an already good visitation and a 'good reputation'.
With them looking at dipping their toes into other projects now such as the new family park in Texas and the HHN attraction in Las Vegas, they could well be looking to diversify their...
They've obviously seen that smaller/mid-way attractions seem to be working for the likes of Merlin and are going to dip their toe.
I don't blame them, in this market you don't want to be throwing $2+ billion at a full theme park all the time, so it would certainly diversify a portfolio...
It's actually quite interesting that a Merlin park is being so open about the construction of the ride - literally from the very start.
Most of the time projects are hush-hush, little detail is released and construction updates are few and far between, but they seem to be embracing the...
Part of me is excited to see this roller coaster dominate the skyline, but part of me thinks that there were better places to put it (a la island next to The Swarm) and Canada Creek could have somewhat been saved as a nice family area.
However, in the sorry state it's been in since Loggers was...
Really? That's pretty shocking considering the thing is nearly fully built - must be heartbreaking for everyone involved to work on such a huge project for it to be canned.
The fact they're already advertising something that's coming in 2024 is a good thing and indicates it's a major investment. Even Thorpe Park with Exodus hasn't really spoken much about it (I know very different project/market/planning etc) but still.
They've been missing a stand-out water...
Looks like it's going to be themed around the Uncharted Franchise. Personally, I think it could have been a lot worse and I liked the recent film, although I imagine it will be more themed around the game franchise with the video in the tweet.
