I realise it's all subjective, but in my experience, Kondaa and VelociCoaster are both more intense than Taiga and Taron. The first airtime hill on Kondaa is one of the most forceful moments of ejector I've experienced. The final inversion on VelociCoaster has a real kick to it, not to mention...
I am a fairly recent convert to drop towers. Used to be too terrified to ride them, but @Slamming Coastercore 's enthusiasm for a drop tower is infectious. Now I find them scary but enjoyable, and have ridden many on my own!
I haven't included ToT or Mystery Castle here. I adore both of those...
4 hours for Wicker Man on the Saturday after it had opened (it kept going down)
4 hours for The Smiler on a bank holiday Monday the year it opened (it kept going down)
3.5 hours for Saw The Ride on opening day, which also happened to be a Saturday. (it kept going down)
There's a few themes...
Personally, I think the ride name is too long. "Hey, shall we go ride The Curse at Alton Manor?" or "do you want to go on The Curse at Alton Manor?" feels clunky to say. Can't imagine anyone using its full name in that context. A short, one-word title is always better for a ride imo.
I wonder...
Just to clarify, as the person running the Thorpe Park Live:
I will 100% be there at the Thorpe Park Live, with bells, whistles, raffle tickets, sweets, games, post-its, maybe even...the Kazzoo!
I've run many CF Lives (Poland , GF Netherlands, Thorpe Park, Chessington, Skegness, Walibi Holland...
I think an accesible, familiar UK park lends itself perfectly to the CF Live setting, if we are viewing Lives as social event.
In fact, I picked Thorpe Park for these specific social reasons:
- Easily accessible via public transport making it easier to attend
- A small park so we can take a...
It's very very close between my number one (Zadra) and my number two (Intimidator 305). So close that I often wonder if I have them in the wrong order!
Zadra is just perfection. Everything it does it does so well. It's not often you ride a coaster where both the airtime and the inversions are...
As I write this I am packing to move in with a friend. A friend I met on CF ten years ago. I have travelled all over the world with her. She is just one of the very brilliant people I have met on a CF Live who has become a fantastic friend.
When I think of CF Lives I feel a wave of sentimental...
FLY. I don't understand the hype at all with that one. Sure the Rookburgh area looks great, but as a ride experience it's so uncomfortable, lumbering and sickly. Plus, the launches are underwhelming.
Skyrush, Helix, Lightning Rod and Leviathan also get my vote.

Shout out to Hansa Park. Karnan and Novgorod are both v. thrilling and extensively-themed. Then there's family rides like Midgard that are also beautifully themed. The park has both: extreme rides and a captivating atmosphere. Plus, you know, even the MASSIVE drop tower has on board audio!

Same.
It seems to come down to what people value in a ride. If you want mega forceful thrills, you're not going to get that on a ride at Efteling. But that by no means makes their rides filler. In terms of theme, story, detail and atmosphere, many Efteling rides are of the absolute highest...
