Re: Heide Park | Unknown | B&M Wing Coaster
Now this is how a wingrider should be. A really bizarre layout and something that looks weird. I hope to ride this someday as it does indeed look like the best wingrider out of them all. The pretzel element looks very fun and of course the airtime hill.
Re: Kings Island | "Banshee" | Mahoossive B&M Invert
Interesting ride and colour scheme. I like the new restraints, they should be interesting and I wonder what other new things the trains will have, if any. I do however have one issue. The colour scheme is purple track and blue supports and...
Re: Liseberg | "Project Helix" | Mack Megacoaster
I like the look of this ride altogether. Very fun appearance, and the queue line looks very different and interesting to me. It reminds me of one of those strange art galleries you go to. However, I don't really like the Matrix style logo.
I'm the guy on the left, on the left side of the image. Instead of looking glum on rides we decided to do the biggest smile we could. That explains the expressions. On the right side of the image, I'm on the last row with three other friends.
Re: Six Flags Magic Mountain | "Full Throttle" | multi launc
Looking at the POVs, the ride looks fun and the top hat looks quite nice. The only thing I don't like is the giant loop. It irritates me when parks make a record breaking attraction with only the record part of the ride being thought...
Re: Victory Kingdom | U-Shape Roller Coaster | Intamin Flyri
If there was theming to create some near misses, and possibly if the station were to be completely indoors, this coaster would be of interest to me and possibly make the experience better. From what I saw in that video, it looks ok...
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
Maybe the Ropers might appear on watchdog, and praise Alton's new record breaking coaster.
In regards to the ropers though, I am surprised how Alton have put the area music quite high. From what I've heard in the videos that...
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
Thank goodness that transition into the final brake run isn't so violent like saw. But as many have said, it looks amazing. One thing that surprised me though is that the trains look big on the track compared to the images they...
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
I found a recent article from StaffsLive, and Ian is mentioned.
http://staffslive.co.uk/2013/05/07/new- ... l-seekers/
If I am correct I read somewhere that these new dummies Alton have, are made like that already. It gives a more...
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
I hope some videos and images are released. Though I do wonder how many hours they have, to do testing each day.
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
One thing I worry about is that the adverts for The Smiler will all be shown after 9pm, due to some possible appearances of people with inhuman smiles. It is targeted at teens and adults yes, but I feel it should be shown through the...
Just like _koppen said, it appears faster than the virtual video. And from my opinion thank goodness for that. The virtual video of this ride made it look boring and not fun at all. But that POV has changed my opinion and it looks like a great family coaster indeed. Though, I do wonder why...
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
It appears the drops will be completed today. Lovely.

Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
I do wonder why they didn't complete the first drop first, than finish the lift hill. Anyway, the coaster is looking great. I wonder if the world's first has to do with the first lifthill, since it was mentioned by Rob on Towersstreet...
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
A article about The Smiler's effects on the riders. Merlin marmalised a guy called Aston Marrygold from JLS to help with marketing.

And a video...
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
Just something I thought I would post. The uniform we saw the staff wear last week, I think it was, where they looked like Ronald McDonald is the same uniform worn by the riders in The Smiler game. I wonder if this is part of the...
I intend to visit Alton Towers on Thursday 18th July of this year. I told my friends this would be the date, but I remembered some schools have trips to Alton Towers, which I forgot when planning the date. Does anybody have a rough idea the dates schools go to Alton Towers on? Thanks.
Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
Looking at the images, I can see that the rumour of the glass floor in the ride exit section will not be happening. It appears to have some grill type things on it and maybe some concrete on it.
