weather.com says no snow in Vancouver itself in the next 10 days. However, I'd think there would be a good amount of snow in the mountains where the skiing/snowboarding events will be.
I agree that it looks kind of sluggish, but I've thought the same thing about the other hypercoasters I've been on before I rode them. They definitely didn't feel slow, so I'll give this the benefit of the doubt for now.
I dunno about Avatar. It's bound to sweep up the technical awards, but for picture/director, I can't really say. The Oscars do love artsy films that nobody's ever heard of, but when a film reaches phenomenon status they tend to get a lot more attention (ie Forrest Gump and Titanic). That...
Meh, by itself it looks cool, but with that price tag... not so much. For what they're charging, it should have all the basic functions of an actual computer. I'd be fine with it if it had more features or if the price wasn't much more than an iPod, but as is I don't really see who's going to...
Like everyone has said, it's standard practice. The operators are just doing their jobs. They' aren't purposefully keeping the ride closed so they can go for a joy ride, so I don't see any reason to get mad about it.

Real. Artificial trees have never done anything for me. They don't have that pine smell and they just look wrong (too symmetric, even, straight, etc.).
You, sir, deserve a pat on the back. Pretty interesting stuff.
As for Intamin dominating the Asian wood market... well, that's not really saying much since there are only 10 wooden coasters on the whole continent. :dontknow:
I completely agree. I turned on the TV today and saw Christmas commercials (plural). I haven't even started to think much about Thanksgiving. Stupid. :cwm10:
I've been loosing sleep over a similar conundrum:
This Hot Wheels creation has a drop in excess of 6 feet and gives a fantastic ride, assuming you've reinforced the track and can stay balanced on the inch-wide car. So, naturally, I was baffled to discover it wan't listed on RCDB. This...
