Holiday Park | Tomorrowland Area + Ride | 2026

Maybe the ride hardware will be ready for the 2025 season and the final theming elements will be added for the 2026 season. They already did that with Sky Screamer.

Fingers crossed that the Xtreme Spinner is not delayed beyond 2026.

Plopsa group seem to have developed quite a bad reputation for being slow with their projects. I've heard manufacturers are complaining about them taking multiple months to reply to even the most minor layout revisions. Not sure how true this is, but i wouldn't be surprised if the xtreme spinner does end up delayed until 2027, even if they don't want to admit it right now.

The Xtreme Spinner appears to have been delayed again to 2028.

The park is also officially renaming itself to Plopsaland Deutschland starting June 28th.

So now a 4 year delay... Starting to think this project, as we know it now, will never materialise. Stereotypes and generalisations are never good, but this is not what we've always been taught about Deutsch efficiency.

I don't think the rename is a terrible idea though.

I’m still confident it will materialize, especially since Plopsa’s new management has indicated that they really want to make Holiday their second flagship resort. They seem to be juggling a million balls in the air at the moment between the two coasters, dark ride refurb, new themed areas, hotel, and waterpark, though.

Oh I think 'something' will be built, I'm just worried it may end up being something other than the supercharged RTH we were hoping for / told about.

Haven't you heard about Berlin Brandenburg, Hamburg Elphi or Stuttgart 21? 😂 German efficiency has died with the Transrapid, to be more precise it's been sentenced to death with the election of the Greens in '98.

b2t: It will take a very long time until the new name becomes common. Just look at Twitter.

The new “Blinky Bill Zone” adventure area dedicated to the Australian coal beast opening in April is part of the planned park expansion through 2028. In addition, new indoor attractions are being created, including a theatre game around the cartoon character Biene Maja, as well as a Smurf attraction, in which a gondola ride leads visitors through a thematically designed Smurf world.
The main project of the expansion is "Plopsaqua Haßloch", a water park with slides and a wave pool, as well as a relaxation area and sauna. Source (in German)

I know all about Brandenburg. So the Elphi and Stuttgart 21 are now on my radar, if they’re half as interesting ad the airport story.

Not even here people can leave politics out of it. That's nonsense. The Greens haven't been part of the government for years in the period you mentioned.

Having said that the delays at Plopsaland Deutschland are rather caused by the company's management and not by any German national or local politics as far as we know. Isn't it?

Honestly, all you needed to bring up to disprove the notion of German Efficiency is Deutsche Bahn. Maybe the new coasters got hit by the ol' zug fällt aus?

It's exciting to hear they have big plans for the park but I ain't getting my hopes up until they can deliver a single one. Planning for a waterpark and a whole new Smurfs area when they keep pushing other projects back seems.. overambitious? to put it lightly
