Walibi Belgium | Kondaa | Intamin Mega Coaster | 2021

Given my dad is 1.98m, or 6’6”, I guess that means he wouldn’t be able to ride Kondaa... I’d be fine, though, as I’m only 1.77m or 5’9.5”. I benefit from not being particularly tall in this regard! The ride itself looks absolutely outstanding, though; I counted at least 6 areas where it gets...

    Wicker Man vs Megafobia

Hi guys. Here in the UK, we have somewhat of a shortage of modern thrill wooden coasters. In fact, we only really have 2 (unless you count Antelope, but I’d argue that that’s more of a family/kids woodie, personally); Wicker Man at Alton Towers and Megafobia at Oakwood. Even though they are two...

Kent, England | The London Resort | Entertainment Complex

I get the impression it’s only because of this SSSI designation they’ve been given.

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

What makes you say that, out of interest? Actually, I think I may only ever have watched the first Jurassic World film from the JP franchise...

    Silverwood | Stunt Pilot | RMC Raptor | 2021

The initial two Raptors are even referred to as “Prototype”, so maybe this modified layout will be referred to as “Standard” or something like that?

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

What makes you say that with such certainty, out of interest? I know that VelociCoaster is twice the height and goes 20mph faster, but statistics aren’t necessarily everything, I guess. One thing’s for sure, though; I’m certainly pumped for VelociCoaster, and I really hope I get to ride it in 2022!

Closest coasters to a “Jack of all trades”?

Hi guys. I was just watching a POV of VelociCoaster at Islands of Adventure, and I was thinking to myself; it might genuinely be one of the world’s most varied roller coasters in terms of the sensations on offer. And that got me thinking; what are some of the closest coasters out there to a...

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

I’ve got to say, I’m extremely impressed with what I’ve seen so far! Even the first half looks blisteringly fast from on-ride, much more so than I was expecting; I was honestly expecting the first half to be a bit slow, but it looks brilliant, and then the second half looks just obscene...

    Silver Dollar City 2022??

In fairness, I guess it is exciting if you like the Harlem Globetrotters!

    Coronavirus: Impact on Theme Parks

According to The Times, the 1m+ rule is being scrapped in the UK from 21st June, but masks may be kept in some situations, as well as things like one-way systems: Excellent news, from an operational standpoint! This should hopefully mean a far more...

    Toverland's Expansion Plan

I’m certainly excited to see what this plan has to offer! This plan is allegedly spanning 20 years. To put things into perspective; 20 years ago, the park was a small indoor kiddie park with a Vekoma Rollerskater. It probably wasn’t even a dot on your average enthusiast’s radar. By comparison...

    Silver Dollar City 2022??

I dunno; the area they’re allegedly clearing looks pretty big, and 2022 would represent 4 years since Time Traveler, so I wouldn’t necessarily rule out at least the start of a teaser campaign for a bigger ride, possibly even a full announcement!

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

In The Loop now has a review for us, and it would appear that The Legend was just as enamoured with it as everyone else who rode it today: Praise indeed; a top 10 ride for someone who’s ridden 694 roller coasters is no small statement!

    CoasterForce’s favourite German rollercoasters

Not at all! In fact, I’d actually be very interested to see how the pair wise algorithm’s verdict compares with that of the algorithm I used, so go ahead, if you wish!

New roller coaster and children’s rides for Chessington

To be fair, if we’re talking about like-for-like replacements, that would still in theory mean that we get a new cred out of it, so it’s win-win either way! But given that Vampire’s been going strong for 31 years (19 years in its post-refurb form), I’d personally be surprised if another 1 or 2...
