Wakala, Bellewaerde
Decent family coaster for what it is. It doesn't really do much, but what it does do, it is nice. The spike is really cool, as it gets good height. Also, doing it at the front, you get a good view of the track literally disappearing.
Having recently done Mecalodon, I found...
Rode this yesterday; got 4 rides on it in total.
In short, it's a fab ride. It's kind of ridiculous in so many ways too:
- The extra long queue line where you walk under the ride and can get splashed / dripped on at several points
- The weird angled twist to get your boat ready to go up the...
There's some further construction afoot. Not sure if it's really worthy of its own topic...

I'm a little disappointed they're just going for a clone of Windsor's investment. I mean, I get it and it works for Billund, but given how their other coasters...
Botton's Pleasure Beach, Skegness, opened a new tracked dark ride themed to dinosaurs a couple of months ago. It takes place in an old arcade, underneath Rockin Roller.

I think the thing is, it isn't really a nostalgia thing. The things the park have had to do has been out of necessity, partly due to age, partly due to issues the park have had the past decade.
Curse at Alton Manor - Duel had struggled for several years and needed TLC

Walibi Belgium turned 50 years old today.
As part of the celebrations, they dressed Manneken Pis - the famous Brussels statue / water fountain of a boy having a wee - in a costume of their mascot...
I stayed about a 15 minute drive from both parks. My hotel room - which, again, was just the cheapest one available - was surprisingly good, and even featured a balcony overlooking the free hotel pool, and with a view towards the mountains. Unfortunately I couldn't make it out to the balcony as...
2025 is shaping up to be a quiet year for me travel-wise, and this trip is likely my last to new theme parks this year. But it was nice to finally get my butt over to Italy and do the Lake Garda duo, after a couple of years of it being on the 'Maybe' list, and being cancelled last-minute last...
Can't wait to see what the boats look like.
If they even vaguely resemble a turd it'll be absolutely brilliant. Which says a lot about my humour I think, but oh well.
Only one I can think of would be Cobra at Walibi Belgium.
It was my first visit (10 years ago now!), and a busy day with lots of school trips. Had ridden a Boomerang (my first ever) the day before at Bellewaerde, so it was a low-priority ride. Ultimately didn't get the time to do it, but rode...
Yeah, for reference, a 603ft drop would 'only ' lead to a top speed of 134mph, assuming no resistances. Given it won't be 603ft, plus friction, air resistance and whatever else it would be lower than that theoretical number and not close to topping Rossa.
Another reason for a launch at the...
Lift Hill and Thrills have further testing footage from the park (apparently). The cliff drop and hill is shown here...
