Chessington World of Adventures holding public consultation regarding “current proposals and new developments” - potential new attraction?

Full plans have been submitted, and seem to suggest a 2027 opening: Some things I've found from reading the plans: -The park considered replacing the Zoo with Minecraft World: -The plans state that 75% of the ride is indoors. As we see the section of the ride that is outdoors, that...

    Alton Towers New Flat Ride?

Was it? I do feel like people have rose-tinted specs / try to re-write history when it comes to Ripsaw. Enthusiasts regularly complained it was run on a rubbish setting. It was always seen as the 'weaker brother' compared to Rameses Revenge when it came to UK Top Spins. I never saw it have a...

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

Thorpe Park are moving Slammer at the start of next year. Nothing is, as of yet, set to take its place, with the pit under the ride remaining as is for now:

    Alton Towers New Flat Ride?

Hmmm, I think that's a bit overly kind towards the thought process. The ride, whilst broadly in the same location, is still different in terms of location, and is being built on a whole new concrete platform going over a pathway. Queue will be completely different as a result. Ripsaw closed...

    IAAPA Expo 2024

Naruto coaster looks cool bar the fact it will have a TERRIBLE throughput. Swing colours are nice.

    New attractions at Paultons Park

Could see Paultons going for something like this, especially if Intamin have a nice stock layout pre-designed. It would work well for both parties: Intamin can showcase their model and the stock layout, and Paultons get stock (ie: cheaper) coaster which is still unique, and fits into their line...

    IAAPA Expo 2024

I imagine this is something more from their IAAPA stand, so will post here. Intamin have unveiled a Family Launch Coaster, which accommodate people from 1m tall.

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

This is rewriting history a fair bit. Loggers Leap closed at the end of the 2015 season due to needing work done and there not being the maintenance budget for that year. The park certainly intended for it to reopen, with many plans in place, but the cost of doing the work and reopening it...

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

Whilst I think your theory is pretty good, I'd be surprised if it was a specifically a replacement cable. I don't know how they do it with Ka, but Thorpe replace Stealth's launch cable a couple of times a year. Intamin give each cable a set number of launches before they require replacement...

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

Another record they can claim, assuming whatever new thing ends up being bigger than TT2, is that it's the world's tallest Strata Coaster. A pretty nothing claim, but it sounds cool, is accurate and keeps attention on it. No different to parks claiming they have the tallest hyper coaster or...

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

Names I'd like for this new coaster: Emperor Ka 2Kingda2Ka Kingda Ka 2: Electric Boogaloo Kingda 2 Kingda Ka Inferno Kingda Ka: The Black Hole --- Is it out of the question to suggest an Aquatrax? --- But seriously, it will be interesting to see what they do. Using the existing structure...

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

I wanted an old and boring ride though :(

Djurs Sommerland | Intamin Launch Coaster?

The park lacks an inverting coaster. And a modern launch coaster would add to the line up and suit the park. And the park seem to have had a decent working relationship with Intamin in the past. All adds up nicely. A coaster with a swing launch might be a tad overkill, and I'd be surprised if...

Walibi Belgium | Unknown | Gerstlauer Family Coaster | 2025

Tear out Vampire and stick in an Intamin Multi Dimensional coaster. Increases the number of indoor rides, is something that Walibi would theme well, and is a perfect ride for Walibi. Boom.

    WTF Merlin?

Thank you for posting that Matt. I think a lot of people are seeing the article and reading it as "designers" being laid off, in the broad, public understanding of designer. That is, people who create the concepts, liase with parks, etc. Studio North are "designers", but in the sense that they...

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

In my years as a coaster enthusiast, one thing I've learnt is there's no smoke without fire. Baseless, made up rumours don't travel far enough and gain this amount of attention. Like even if I started a rumour now that Stealth at Thorpe Park was closing down, it wouldn't spread far enough /...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

This is, frankly, absurd and ridiculous speculation which is beyond comprehensive understanding. Good job!
