It does look very similar to gold rush construction to be honest now:
I think it could be a Intamin family LSM - similar model, able to invert (unlike the straddle coaster?). Only thing is the height restriction for that model is lower..
Has it been confirmed a 1.2m height restriction?
I’m not really sure why anyone sees that much of a difference between LOTR, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Avatar etc.
They are all simple stories about good vs evil, so the crux is easy to follow. They are all loved because they are so good at world building, and for me that’s what makes them prime...
Just having a look at the footers and could they be similar to Juvelen/Yukon quad?
I am no footer expert, far from it so could be way off, but thought of this as it has I beams, and I believe the height requirement is 1.2m for Yukon quad at least.
Although the footers at Paultons seem to be...
Agree with this. Nemesis reborn is its own different issue, it’s massively about expectation. There is a slight rattle but nothing particularly bad, but it does ride slightly worse than the original in my opinion, which isn’t great when technology has moved so far since 1994. It’s still a great...
I would absolutely love to see a LOTR attraction, much more than I would a Potter one. Like a few people have mentioned before, it's a risky business building something Potter related when there is going to be a new series landing before the park opens. LOTR on the other hand has already had...
Great overview of the ride and area. The theming is looking beautiful! The way this dips and dives in and out of the building makes me think this is going to feel pretty fast and chaotic for its size...
Another POV that looks a lot smoother from Ride Review
Honestly looks great, definitely loses some momentum at the end but from the first drop to the roll through the building, it looks like it really hits and I think its a phenomenal investment for this park. The presentation looks great...
This is incredible news! Had all my fingers and toes crossed but was too scared to get excited until an official announcement!
The concept art also looks really promising! While it is just concept and lots will change, the coaster in the bottom left does seem to show they at least intend to...
Agree with this. Alton in particular are riding on nostalgia at the moment. I'm glad they retracked Nemmy, but im not sure whether to renew my annual pass for the return of a topspin, if they can't keep the majority of their rides open every time i visit. Ride availability is so bad ive been...
While i don't believe it will be a Mack Stryker i'd absolutely love to see something like Helios at Paultons! That kind of size ride would be a great fit.
Is it just me that doesn't understand the theme/style/brand of this ride? The logo, entrance and trains look like they belong to completely separate rides...? Hopefully it all ties together as one complete package when it's complete. Just, for a duelling RMC single rail, the branding and styling...
Iron Rattler really does look massive in those pictures. It’s easy to forget how tall it is when it’s still only the 3rd tallest coaster in the park..
Is Iron rattler the tallest coaster Vekoma has ever built? Their first coaster over 200 feet? Or am I imagining things?
Oh yeah, I didn’t spot that track at the bottom right. So yeah, it drops lower out the dive loop like in your drawing. Wonder if there will be a bunny hill on the launch then or just a flat launch? Hard to tell, would love some pictures from another angle! Hehe!
Also, I guess other competition...
