SWSA | Tidal Surge | Worlds Largest S&S Screamin' Swing

Have we heard any more about the Mack PowerSplash that was supposedly coming to SWSA as well?

This should be great, though; Rush at Thorpe, one of the smaller S&S Screamin' Swings, is one of my favourite flats, so I can only imagine that this one will provide even more of that amazing floaty goodness!

Tidal Surge is not the only 2022 addition that SWSA has up their sleeve. Paid a visit to Proslide’s manufacturing plant yesterday and I can confirm that they’ve made an order! Pieces are being manufactured as we speak, and the first are fresh out of the factory and await shipment in the yard.

That they did. The SeaWorld chain unleashed a slew of new waterpark announcements for 2022 today and Riptide Race has been doled out to Aquatica San Antonio. It'll be a Proslide dueling pipeline tube slide with major similarities to the already-existing Riptide Race that was recently opened at Aquatica Orlando. The slides will stand 51 feet tall and each will navigate over 565 feet of flume. Expect an opening in March 2022, this project will move quickly.

Anyways, back to Tidal Surge. Nobody's talked about vertical construction in this thread I see, so here's current progress as of September 30th.

I read about the Adventure Island announcements (basically a clone of Riptide Race and a refurb of Wahoo Run), but what are the rest of the announcements?
Two things; first, the Adventure Island attraction is not a clone. Its a similar ride on the hillside with saucers, including a pair of the world's first dual-lane saucer elements. See; the CAD model attached below (Screamscape was sent a spicy leak of the so-called Project F1 back in August). Its being built on the same slide tower as Wahoo Run, which is in turn being refurbished. I've also attached a few bonus pictures of slide pieces fresh from last month while they were still here in Canada, mixed in with some stuff going to Quassy.

Second, Water Country USA is moving forwards with a long-planned revamp of the Aquazoid raft slide, rechristening it as Aquazoid Amped, which has been shut since 2019. They've removed the wooden slide tower in favor of erecting a new steel one and are also outfitting various new visual/sensory effects. The project then known as Aquazoid Supercharged got underway quietly in early 2020, before COVID came along and put the project on indefinite hold.
