Fortunately I haven't had the horror of experiencing that ride when the trims used to be on. And even those that had hated and abhored it before loved it when we went this summer.
In fact, everyone who's been on it this year has rated it very highly - mainly because it's amazing.
I even think Will bumped it up into his top 10 and was pleasantly surprised by how awesome it's become!

.Also, in the case of Silver Star, B&M hypers can be absolutely amazing without the trims on, but can be a completely different story when they're actually on. Exhibit A: Diamondback. Top ten coaster with barely any trims, barely top twenty with the trims. Behemoth has had the trims off pretty much every time I've been on it, so that's why I still rank it so highly.
