^ Not only did it start testing - there is video to prove it!
Tony Clark Periscoped testing on Friday (April 8) - this testing was done without the holding brake and MCBR, so the train definitely clipped along! (They first test without braking to make sure the train completes the course OK, and dial it down from there)
A Valravn Minute has been released that features some on-ride video. I would imagine this onside video was also shot without braking, so do not take pacing/speed as the final product.

Cedar Point shared a blog post with breaking news: it snows in Ohio. Sandusky actually received 5+ inches of snow over the weekend (Yes, in April), which lended for some nice photos around the park, including Valravn! https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article ... ook-Winter

Hooray for Midwest weather. It snowed 10(yes 10) times in one day earlier this month. The next day was 72* F.

I was in Sandusky this past weekend tending to wedding planning, and did stop by Shoreline Park to check out some of Valravn's testing.
The view from across the bay is a bit obstructed, as Valravn's drop faces directly north. However, I was able to watch the train come out of the Immelmann, and run the second half of the course. They were testing with a full MCBR stop, which should be more akin to the final ride experience. Even still, at a distance, the second drop and immelmann appeared to be a good pace, while the barrel roll looked to feature some hangtime.
