They work just like the Taron restraints (first example that came to mind):

Rather than one curved piece of metal on either side of the rider, however, they have some sort of connection piece (I think with a seatbelt or something - hard to tell?) in the middle. Once your eyes "figure it out" it'll become a bit more obvious - took me a while to suss it out earlier too as I thought there was another hinge in the middle.

I am grateful for that insightful nugget of information about Vekoma. It truly was the question on everyone's lips in this thread about an RMC raptor...

It's interesting to see so much of the hydraulic hosing on display, that's usually covered up pretty well. I wonder if there will be some sort of shroud over them?

Thanks for the pics @Hixee, I mean, they still look vile, but the close ups are interesting.

How long before someone says it's unsafe because the bolts are in the way?

It is kind of strange to see the fishplates on top of the track itself, that has to be said. Something in your head just goes "wait, shouldn't there be wheels or something running there?"

Will be an interesting sight when you ride it, at least.

The rock work looks great. This shows how much prettier a bit of theming can make a coaster *looks at you Wonder Woman*.

Not having the same colour scheme as McDonald's also helps.
