Don't listen to Hal, he's delusional.
I really enjoyed WindSeeker. the seating and restraints are MUCH more open than I was expecting, giving a real free flying experience. I was honestly pretty terrified by the height (and knowledge that only a couple inches of aluminum was holding me in), but it was a very fun ride once it had started spinning at the top.
The wind especially was really knocking the chairs around, to the point that they would nearly hit each other at times. This was the reason for additional pistons being added to all of the rides which has caused the delayed opening.
My only "beef" with the ride is capacity. Loading and unloading are able to move pretty quickly as restraints are new intamin style with over-the-head lapbars, but the ride cycle is rather long. I waited an hour for when noone knew the ride was running, so the lines will probably hit longer lengths than majority of the roller coasters in the park.
This ride isn't as much "thrilling" as it is about the experience. I wouldn't say the ride is tranquil, but it is definitely mystifying. I give it a thumbs up, and think Cedar Point landed a great addition to the park.
And let's hear it for Ocean Motion getting new real estate!
