Goon of the Year
On the 30th of June, me and 10waTT got very lucky and managed to get into the Grand opening of Wickieland at Plopsaland.
Impressive entrance to the area.
Some testing happened!
Lots of people waiting to get in.
By 4pm, we were let in. There were some vikings giving out hats in a ceremonial way which was awesome. Plus free food and drink.

One of the vikings had a crow. Impressive.
They will be adding more for the 2014 season, including a shop and a cover for the queue and station of Wickie the Battle
They had a grand opening ceremony with balloons, fireworks and a impressive show with a couple of characters, and when they pushed a button, they started the rides. up in a impressive fashion. I just wish more parks do grand openings like this, not just go, here you go, new ride for you.
Characters from the show
We first did the splash battle after the VVIP's. They were good, nice enough wetness for the park and for families. After this, it was time for their Disko. A couple of the vikings wanted to ride it too which was awesome for some photos!
It was then our time to ride. It was a nice long cycle, and well worth the ride. Before even riding, this was my favorite disko due to the look of it. Much better than Kobra. We did have a chat with Kim from marketing who got us in, she revealed they did not want to show any of the track, which is perfect.
I really enjoyed Wickieland. Great addition to the park, and it is great to see Plopsaland keep adding brand new parts to the park. I do have a video to edit, and will get it up later.
Kim, if you are reading this, thank you ever so much for letting us witness the grand opening. Certainly was a pleasure!
