Let's see...

Nobody has bought an Intamin model since Baco (that thing at Hershey is hardly the same thing; it's a modified hyper) how many years ago?

B&M have sold 4 in the space of about a year.

So yeah, I'm not going to justify this silly question with an actual vote.

^I'm afraid Gavin's hit the nail on the head. Very hard.

Baco's launch is great, but even that is rough as ****. Don't even get me started on the rest of the layout.

It might be something to do with Intamin and B&M's attitude to designing coasters, but I think they just did it all wrong with Baco. Brand new ride technology and they go straight for a massively intense ride. Seems like B&M (a) took their time after seeing what'd gone wrong with Baco and (b) made the first one a pretty tame ride. I'm not saying Raptor is tame as such, but it's nothing like as intense as Baco. Clearly they got it right as they're building three others, each of which seems to be more intense and bigger than the last. B&M checked it worked, then pushed the envelope... unlike Intamin.

Just actually shows that intamin missed a trick and that other parks never rated Baco either. If Baco had been better they could have sold a lot of that model. Saying that they have done ok lol.

B&M are off to a winner as Gavin said, good on them.

I've only ridden an Intamin one before but I'm still going to say B&M as they look a LOT smoother and seem to have more thought put into it.

Also why ask to chose between the two but then give us two votes in the poll? Surely you don't want to allow people to vote for both? :P

I must admit Baco's an incredible experience, despite all of it's flaws, besides it's pretty smooth (just rattles a LOT) on the front. Intamin will get better with these in time.

I've yet to ride a B&M Wing-rider and I think these look a lot better. I'll hold my judgement until 2012...

I haven't had the chance to ride a B&M yet, so I don't feel that I'm eligible to vote. However I have ridden Baco and it felt like it was trying to scramble my organs. The launch is okay, but the rest of the ride is just too shakey for me to properly enjoy. Also what was mentioned before about B&M selling 4 in the space of a year and nobody buying an Intamin since Baco kind of wraps up my answer. B&M seem to have executed the wing rider design properly, Intamin kind of... well, they made one at least...

The B&M looks pretty "meh" to me to be honest, so immediately ranks 2000 times higher than Baco (which is the only Intamin one I can relate them too).

Standing in a pit of angry cobras though is preferable to Baco. Cake or death? Yeah, even if it was the dullest ride in the world, still the B&M.

^Trust me, when Intamin realise how popular B&M's models are becoming, they'll do something special... I hope.

Well, there-in lies the problem...

"Hello, Intamin? I'd like to take a look at one of your Wingrider products please!"

"Certainly, meet us at Port Aventura in approximately 4 hours and 23 minutes?"

"Sorry, I can only do it in 30 minutes, take it or leave it... I'm dialling B&M right now..."

"Okay, 30 minutes!"

(skip to Port Aventura 30 minutes later)

"And as you can see, the ride looks absolutely fantastic, swooping over the water. The acceleration is brilliant, and the thrill of the leg dangly thing at such high speed is phenomenal"

"Why is there a gaggle of chiropractors and injury lawyers at the exit?"

"Must be a group outing for the Spanish Chiropractors and Lawyers association... Shall we move away and sign a contract then?"

"I'd like to ride it before signing a contract please"

"Erm, surely you don't need to do that? Clearly the ride looks brilliant and will look brilliant on your park."

"I still like to ride before I buy"

"Okay, I think we may have to wait in the queue for 3 hours and 54 minutes though..."

"Queue's not that big, and surely we can get on without queueing?"

"No, no, absolutely not... There's no way we can get on the ride before 5:21 p.m.... As long as the temperature stays at 26.34 degrees, and then we may have to make it tomorrow... Or the day after..."

"So I can only ride the ride, if I want to buy it, at a precise time and a precise temperature?"

"Yes, and only row 1, inside, right hand side"

"Why?"

"No reason... None at all... Nope, erm... Really, just... Erm... Look, do just want me call up Walter and Claude for you?"

"Hi, Walter? Yeah, I'm in the market for a new coaster and currently in Port Aventura, any models here I could try to test out your workmanship? <laughs> no, I've not tried Baco so my back is still intact... So you have one here you think is pretty good..? Dragon what? Kan? Oh, KHAN! Okay, I'm on my way..."

^I still think it's a great ride, it's no rougher than Rita, and maybe a park wants a launched wing-walker, who knows? If they can sort out them trains, it'd be fine. :)

But Khan blows it straight out the water.

What??? I can think of a few rougher coasters than Baco (Coney Island Cyclone at the back come to mind), but not many. Rita is positively glass smooth compared to Baco.

On the inside, Baco is "alright", but out on those wings it's utterly, inexcusably rough. The vibration resonates right through your entire body and the inline, taken slowly and mixed with the vibrations just make the entire ride the most unpleasant experience of any modern coaster.

Baco is amazing. Amazingly bad. The ride just bounces the entire way round the track. I've done the front row and the back and the difference is just mind-boggling. In the front the ride is pretty much awesome, the launch is outstanding, the corners fun and fast, it's a pretty intense rush around the track. However the back is just.. Ugh. It's like being in a Japanese earthquake </3

On build quality B&M win. And the fact they're sold 4 of these things now in 2 years kind of speaks for itself. That said, Baco front row whoops Raptor's ass.
