Ive only been on one good GCI woodie apocalypse (gwazi is not that good). I think most of them look really good but I don't know which one most people would think is the best so vote on the poll above and tell me why you chose the one that was your favourite if you can. Choose two if you want.

Prowler for me. Granted I only have ridden Apocalypse and Prowler, but Prowler wipes it's ass with Apocalypse. It's not even close. I would love to go and get some of the east coast GCI's, but at the moment that isn't possible.

Prowler then Evel Kinevel (Shut up American Thunder) are by far the best that I've been on. Thunderhead was underwhelming (mostly because of the hype). Roar (SFA) and Lightning Racer were both pretty good but not up there good. And then Kentucky Rumbler is just complete and absolute crap.

Roar pretty good? I thought it was pretty bad, maybe just my ride on it though. I will agree with Lightning Racer.

As for me, Prowler is definitely my favorite followed closely by Renegade. Though Renegade is starting to age a bit now, that first drop is great. Gwazi is definitely a bit better with the new trains as well, but still not great.

I picked Lightning Racer and Wildcat. I only picked Wildcat because the only other GCI I've been on is Roar at SFA </3.

I really need to ride more of these.

Of the ones I've ridden (American Thunder, Gwazi and Prowler) I think Prowler is easily the best.

Gwazi wasn't anything special, American Thunder (it was Evel Knievel when I rode it) was good, but Prowler has the perfect mix of pops of airtime, a fun layout, nice twists and a nice setting. All round the best. :D

1. Prowler
2. Evel Knievel (I agree with Snoo, it's definitely not called American Thunder, aha)
3. Lightning Racer
4. Thunderhead
5. Kentucky Rumbler
6. Roar
7. Wildcat

I wonder who else picked El Toro (or if they knew that it's the one in Germany & not SFGAdv)?
I still haven't ridden Joris en de Draak, Wodan Timbur Coaster or Mountain Flyer so I went with Prowler as my second choice, but by the looks of them Mountain Flyer & Joris en de Draak could be up there as well.
That being said, I've yet to ride one as fun as Lightning Racer. <3

Probably Troy for me, although Lightning Racer was a hoot! Joris en de Draak was vile but I think I need to reride when my body isn't an aching mountain of death because of a high ropes course haha.

Apocalypse was really fun, probably the most enjoyable coaster at SFMM apart from Green Lantern. Roar and Wildcat were DISGUSTING and Gwazi is fun but apart from the first drop I find it a bit lacking.

I think I can split mine in to three categorys:

Excellent
Troy: Smooth, long and an intensity that really never let's up during the ride! <3

Good
Joris en de Draak: Butter smooth and nice pacing, but is a bit too short and lacks the intensity of Troy.
Lightning Racer: Pretty smooth and fun duelling action, but you can notice it's an earlier version than Troy and Joris.

Crap
Roar: Rough as hell, I can't remember the layout just the brutal shaking tbh.. :P
Wildcat: Same as above

Vile - Roar, Roar, Wildcat.

Meh - Gwazi

Awesome - Mountain Flyer, Lightning Racer, Apocalypse.

Mountain Flyer is my personal fave.

Lightning Race by a long way, but it's really all about the fun of racing - though the ride must have something anyway. It's just great fun though.

Then Wildcat and Wodan for me. I thought Wildcat was fine actually, a little dull perhaps, but it was different. Wodan was the better version of that "twister" style, but still pretty dull. If I went to either park regularly, I'd just not bother with them more than once a season or so.

1. Prowler - Fun. Terrain. Airtime

2. Evel Knievel - Similar to Prowler in many ways, but without the terrain aspect

3. Troy - really enjoyable ride, and very rerideable, though not quite the w@nk fodder that some people seem to think. Very much a "CF Pet" coaster.

4. Thunderhead - Not as good as I'd hoped, but still a solid coaster

5. Terminator/Apocalypse - I don't get the general hatred for it; it was fast and fun

6. Lightning Racer - Had a really good laugh on this one (two) and easily reridable

7. Joris en de Draak - Bland

8. Wodan - Big disappointment. Front row was "good". Back rows did nothing for me.

9. Wildcat - Last based purely on the fact that I can't even remember going on it, though I know I did

Thunderhead, Apocalypse, then Prowler.

Thunderhead was my first GCI coaster, and what a ride! It is very similar to Apocalypse in its layout, but Thunderhead gets the push for height, speed, and length. Apocalypse seems to have a bit too many turns, but still provides excellent forces in all directions - true GCI style.

Prowler comes in a solid third, as I enjoyed the ride, but it still feels way too short. This makes absolute zero sense, as Apocalypse is the shortest of the three, but the ride experience still feels a bit lacking.

I didn't even realise it existed until I randomly stumbled across it mincing away in the corner, and it totally took me by surprise! I really loved it, and because the rest of the coasters at SFMM were a pile of gash I left the park feeling like this was definitely one of their stand out coasters, and something that I actually wanted to reride, which was more than I can say for the majority of their other coasters.

I know it sounds weird to say, but I feel like GCI woodies are just too safe feeling to be real top ten material? I like to be flung out of my seat and feel threatened with death (but not pain) on a wooden coaster, hence why my favourites are all airtime machines or old as **** things still going after decades and decades threatening to collapse in a heap of rotten old wood. Some of them, like Apocalypse and Troy, can be really really fun but it's all too calculated and predictable, I like the be taken by surprise ;]
