What If Paramount Parks Still Existed?

This has been a question I have been asking myself for a couple of years now. I think I have a general view of what would be added to each park. This will be a series which will go year-by-year, showing what would be added or removed at each park for the season. Now, the reason why they sold the parks in the first place was because of the split of Viacom and CBS. For some reason, CBS got the theme parks, and they wanted to sell them really bad. Of course, Cedar Fair (now Six Flags) got the parks, but a bunch of Private Equity Firms also wanted the parks, and apparently were going to keep the Paramount IP in the parks. The only way Paramount Parks would ever survive would be through one of these firms. That doesn't mean that the Paramount Parks management would be changed, as it was to remain the same if bought from one of these firms. Before I say anything, just know that what is said here is based off of those cancelled Paramount Parks that were meant to be opened internationally, so just take what's said here with a grain of salt. I have never worked with anyone who managed Paramount Parks, and this is just for fun. This will start at the end of the 2006 season.

The End of the 2006 Season

Hi there again. As stated in the last post, this series would begin at the end of the 2006 season. The parks will be listed in alphabetical order, since that makes my life easier.

Canada's Wonderland

First of all, the Hollywood Stunt Show would have a Mission: Impossible theme. This never happened due to the sale to Cedar Fair, but it was on some park maps. Secondly, Orbiter, a rare Huss Skylab, would close to make room for next years addition.

Carowinds

First of all, the Boomerang Bay waterpark would have the Crocodile Dundee theming like Kings Island and Great America, in which the reason why it never got the theme was the same as Wonderland's stunt show. Secondly, the parks Arrow looper, the Carolina Cyclone, would close for good, also to be replaced by another large attraction.

Great America

At the end of the season Orbit, a Schwarzkopf Enterprise, would close forever, though it wouldn't be replaced yet.

Kings Dominion

Flight of Fear wouldn't even operate this year. At the end of the season, it was carefully taken apart, and is going to be sent to a park nearby.

Kings Island

At the end of the season, it looked like some land was being cleared near Flight of Fear. Then, what looked to be yellow coaster track appeared onsite.
I know that was probably really vague, but the additions for the season already happened. 2007 is going to be much more interesting.

2007

We finally made it to the first actual year! Again, this is just for fun. A lot of things stated here are based on some concepts in a survey from 2004, though only from word of mouth, since I was never able to take it. Well, let's begin.

Canada's Wonderland

New for 2007 is Footloose, a B&M Floorless coaster, and the park's first good coaster in a while. It would probably have an original layout. It would be located in the Action Zone section of the park.

Carowinds

The "new" attraction this year is MTV Soundwave, which used to be Flight of Fear at Kings Dominion. Some theming was even ripped from Kings Dominion as well. It would be located on the Carolina Cyclone's plot of land, and would be a part of a multi-year refresh to the Carolina Boardwalk section. Also, both The Wild Thornberry's River Adventure and Rocket Power Airtime would close for next year's attraction.

Great America

The park's new addition for the season would be a dark ride themed to the movie Snow Day. It would probably be made by Sally Dark Rides, and located in the Orleans Place section near Top Gun. Whitewater Falls would also close at the end of the season.

Kings Dominion

This season saw Nickelodeon central expanded with four new rides, those being;
  • Dora's Dune Buggies- A Preston & Barbieri Eureka
  • SpongeBob's Boatmobiles- A Huss Breakdance 4
  • Timmy's Tour Bus- A Zamperla Crazy Bus
  • The Wild Thornberry's Treetop Lookout- An SBF Visa Air Balloon ride

Kings Island

This year's new attraction is unfortunately Mighty Mouse, a Zamperla Volare. It would be located next to Flight of Fear.
I will come out with 2008's additions tomorrow possibly.
