West Midlands Safari Park - new ride 2014 ?

Adamsayzlol

Roller Poster
There are rumors that in 2014, West Midlands Safari Park are going to build a new coaster called '' Inkwazi ''
in the African zone.

It is an Intamin Ball Coaster , with an eagle in the middle of the cars. I'm not sure if it is a short track like Inferno or a longer track like Green Lantern First Flight.

That would be amazing. Here's hoping it's true, could do with a good excuse to head back there. MMF is missing a cred too...

No, I'm pretty sure some bloke just made concept art for it (as work for a portfolio).

West Midlands Safari Park are leaking information about this ride, plus it is quite a short ride, I mean they don't
have the best rides in Britain but this looks like it will be built.

Whereabouts is this information being leaked? Sorry dude but around here we're all very sceptical and we require evidence and links before we get all excited over nothing.

Source and evidence? The poster I saw a few years ago was of an African Themed Ball coaster, and the creator said he made it (and others) for his portfolio and is not official.

I'll be happy if they do get one, but I doubt it.

Your talking about the same person who designed Nemesis Sub-Terra in 2011 and got it perfectly right. Your talking about John Burton aren't you?

John Burton didn't design Sub-Terra. He has never worked for Merlin. He does concept art based on either public releases or his imagination.

It's nothing to do with what parks are actually going to build. If there's a rumour WMSP are gonig to build one of these, he'll do a concept art for it based on nothing but what's in his own head. If they release plans, he will use the plans (like with Sub-Terra).

It's just a really pretty rumour and nothing more.

Ok, I know most of you think it's nothing but a rumor, but out of all the different things people came up with like
one person said they were getting a Floorless coaster !?! but this sounds believable, It's a miniature ride and I think this could happen.

Plus if I did concept art for a theme park, I wouldn't really do it on such a small park.

So because it sounds more believable means it's going to happen?

This entire thread is based off of your opinion that 'it could happen', it's extremely pointless.

You keep on hoping don't you :) first in the Drayton Manor 2014 coaster thread, and now here.

You have to remember a floorless coaster would cost at a minimum of £10,000,000 so let's laugh that one off, and secondly a Ballpark figure for a Zacspin is still around £3,000,000, that's still far to much for WMSP.

WMSP would realistic buy and trade their coasters here: http://www.italintl.com/category.php?ca ... 20Coasters

You've stated before how desperate you are to see a new thrill coaster located in the Midlands, but don't make the mistake of scouting the Internet for rumours and then letting yourself get taken in by the most realistic ones. There will always be rumours, but that's all they are. When there is a reliable source for a new coaster (and mud), that's when we get excited.

Darren B:

Your right, I'm just so desperate for a new ride, I believed false information was true. I'll stop doing this and stop the Drayton Manor argument. If there isn't going to be a new thrill ride, I'll just deal with it.

To anyone else who haven't read this topic:

This whole topic was a mistake, I'm sorry if your hopes were up. This is not going to happen and I regret believing it will. Until there is information of a new ride or coaster, don't bother posting in this forum.
