Hey all,
I know this is SO delayed, but here's my PTR of Walibi World from the 4th May. Yeah, firstly, sorry about the little logo in the corner, these exact images went up to Flickr straight away and instead of using two batches of the same image, I just put these on there. Actual review of the coasters at the end;
After the easiest transport known to man, me and my Dad arrived at Walibi at around 11/11.30am? The park was busy already as it was one of their public holidays, just my **** luck..
We then headed straight for, yeah, you guessed it, Goliath. The worrying thing was, we hadn't saw it testing since we got there and walked over to it, so as people who've been before know, it takes around 5 solid minutes to walk over there? But, luckily, as we got closer, I heard screaming and saw people flying over the bunny hop's, so my excitement started to grow!
Yes, that is a camera somebody has lost, all point and LOL at them;
The Airtime <3
We then headed over to Robin Hood. Ugh:
Anyway, enough of that piece of ****, we then had dinner and just walked around the park, getting the other credzzzzzz out the way. Firstly, El Condor, then Rattle Snake & then finally Speed of Sound.
Station theming <3
We finally decided to head back to Goliath, we had rode back-row to start the day off, so we though front-row would be a good last ride to the day. My word, it was!
To finish off the day, we had a meeting with some of the management of the park and they shown us around one of their Scare Attractions, which was fab of them.
But yeah, here's my verdict on the park;
I loved the place, I do genuinely think people are to harsh on the park, for some unknown reason, maybe because they had a bad day there some time? But, still, the park was heaving, I still enjoyed it. The theming in the areas is pretty nice, although some of it just doesn't blend as much as it could do, it reminds me very much of Thorpe in that way. The staff all seemed really friendly and nice, some of the general public tried to queue jump a few times, but after hassling them, they eased off.
Goliath: Goliath is actually amazing. For anybody that hasn't rode it, take your time out to visit the park, it's worth doing solely for Goliath. I can't exactly say, sit here, sit there, yes, you've obviously got Front/Back Row seats that are the most intense in terms of airtime, but still, anywhere is good. Back Row down the first drop actually made me scream, a little, but still. I didn't think it would be as powerful as it was. The last 3 bunny hops are just so intense. If you leave a little gap in the restraints, you'll adore it, your arse doesn't touch the seat all the way over. Loved the ride. So much.
Robin Hood: Boring. Every day it's shufflin'. It's just ****, moving on...
El Condor: Ugh. Pain. Pain. Pain. Pain & PAIN. 'Nuff said.
Rattlesnake: Just a little Tivoli piece of crap, nothing else is said about it really.
Speed of Sound: Loved it. It was my first ever boomerang. Luckily, this has the new trains & on-board music, that no matter what people say, enhances the ride. It was actually really smooth, great fun, intense & well worth a ride. It should also be noted, that when getting in the queue, if you head to your left, which is the single rider queue, you can get into the station and jump under the bars without being seen by any of the staff, it happened a LOT when we was there. Just a heads-up
Anyway, thanks for Reading my PTR. Amsterdam is the next one, Inc. The Dungeons!
