Another day, another likely Gerstlauer coming to a Compagnie des Alpes park. In a column in the ”Parc & Loisirs” magazine from earlier this month, it was confirmed that the chain has big plans to continue expanding the park after Mahuka’s opening. This includes a new family attraction for the park’s ”Exotic Island” area in 2026:
A complete park re-brand into ”Walibi France” with a hotel planned for the park’s 50th anniversary in 2029:
And for the interest of this thread, a family coaster for 2028 with a capacity of 800 guests per hour, with the comparison being Pegasé Express at Parc Astérix and Tiki-Waka at Walibi Belgium. Construction on the coaster would begin in 2026.
If it were to be a Gerstlauer family coaster, that would make it the fifth park in the chain after Astérix, Bellewaerde, Walibi Belgium, and Jardin d’Acclimatation to receive one.
