Titan Ark Construction (New Chinese Park)

There are currently a number of high profile parks being built in China right now, Like me one you may have missed is the smaller “Titan Ark” park being built in Longyan. I came across some construction shots yesterday. It appears the park has a number of flat rides and features at a new BSA suspended looping coaster.

Although the park plan on their website shows an Intamin Mega-Lite coaster there is currently no sign of it on the construction site and it could just be a place holder on the map.

Construction shots of the park can be seen below.

Seriously, though, it's Beijing Shibaolai Amusement, a Chinese (ripoff) manufacturer.

Thanks for that, I can't believe they can get away with making rides so similar to vekoma. Even the trains are near identical. They also make their own Frisbee that looks similar to the Intamin and Huss versions.

Has anyone here been one one of their coasters so you can compare it to a vekoma? I'd usually imagine a rip off to be worse that the original but I can't say i'm a fan of vekoma SLC's or Corkscrews to begin with.

One word : China. If you think this is the most audacious copyright infringement in China, you're in for a shock!

And they're horrible. These rides are up there as the single worst coasters I've ever been on. Worse than any Togo I've done, any Vekoma. The only things worse are other gross Chinese coasters <//3

The BSA SLC's get terrible reviews across the board. I am intrigued how the Dragon Rider at Floraland rides as its built by Beijing Jiuhua Amusement Rides rather than BSA (Brilliantly one chinese company ripping off another ones design that they ripped off in the first place) and they appear to have at least sorted out some of the transitions. I do wonder if it is noticeably different though.

HZGarfield put me onto these pictures of a new ride “Zhongye” which i believe is built by yet another chinese company (Making them the 4th chinese SLC manafacturer)... However this company seems to take weird transitions and probably roughness to a whole new level.

That's a pretty special drop.
