Thunder Dolphin

I'll add a few questions to the topic. Tokyo Dome City was 'closed' a while ago; did that affect Thunder Dolphin at all? Is Thunder Dolphin basically being run as a separate entity?

It kind of sucks that with Thunder Dolphin closed (temporarily hopefully), they don't actually have any coasters now, dropping from four to zero in just a few years, as well as the drop tower seemingly gone.

The park itself is obviously fine, continuously adding attractions (one of which sounds like a "Spiderman" style dark ride - very expensive), but it seems as if they're moving towards much more of a family audience now. What that means for Thunder Dolphin I have no idea, but would be such a shame to see it go. It's not the best hyper coaster, admittedly, but it's kind of iconic.

I can't imagine it being easy to remove Thunder Dolphin...

I'm sure it closed for a bit a while back and opened again?

If it does close for good, It will probably sit SBNO for years first. Like I said, removing it would be such an effort due to its location.

I REALLY hope it opens again. I've always wanted to ride it <///3.

^ I'm with you on that, I wanted to ride it loads, simply for it's interaction with the building & it RAPING the Ferris Wheel.

Well, the site does say "※Temporary Closed" so hopefully it wouldn't say that if they meant to have it closed for a lengthy amount of time and I would be very surprised if they intended to close it for good with a status like that.

I'm with all the others who would like to ride it some time though...

^Apart from the first drop, it's kind of crap though. It's only really the location that sort of saves it. Saying that, if you liked Millennium Force, then you'll like Thunder Dolphin.
