Saturday night a group of us had a Eurovision party at Nic's house in Brighton. Lots of drinking was involved and none of us got much sleep, was a pretty chaotic night to say the least. Anyway the plan was to go to Thorpe on the Sunday and in the morning after realising that Ian was already on his way to the park we thought it would be rude to not go. We all went up in different cars, I managed to get a lift off Richard.
On the way up we spotted a silly amount of minis going the opposite way, was rather cool. We all managed to arrive at Thorpe at roughly the same time. Sue, however, beat us all there and met up with Ian to keep him company while the rest of us got there. As we crossed the bridge we spotted the first lot of posters for LC12, Nic decided to be a goon....
None of us were really in a state to be at Thorpe park and we don't exactly like to go to Thorpe at the best of times but we continued onwards to find Ian over by Storm Surge.
We found him talking to Darren and after some traditional faff caused by Sue we went on to Storm Surge. This was to be my first time on the ride and I wasn't keen on the idea of spinning or getting wet. I was in the same dingy as AJ and Maddie and we didn't get much spinning but at the bottom we got drenched due to some spiteful chap in the queueline targeting us with one of those pump things. So yeah the ride is just as lame as I was expecting.
Maddie still hadn't been on Stealth and while drunk the previous evening she kept claiming she'll finally ride it so we made sure of that by making it our next ride. It took Richard grabbing her by the wrist to get her over there
I think Nic's expression in the following picture pretty much explains how most of us were feeling...
Anyway we had finally made our way to Stealth. There was a bit of a queue, 'bout 15-20 minutes? However shortly after joining the queue Stealth managed to do what it does best...break down. Joy. We decided to wait it out and after a good 20-30 minutes and watching lots of people leaving the queue (so much so we ended up under the launch track from half way round the queue) they announced they were going to hand out fast passes to everyone, yay. See, sometimes it's worth waiting around.

So we walked off with fast passes, question is what do we do now? I think we called lunch and headed to the glass house, sorry, 360 bar for foodage. The food was really nice (had a gammon steak and chips) and we kept ourselves amused with some light-hearted banter and used the menus to make it look like we had Jedward hair...
Ian then decided to start playing the drop the cutlery game and then others joined in, meanwhile Sue was creating a tower out of plastic cups and the waiter was on his way to collect our plates. Unbeknown to him Ian, Neal and Richard had left their knifes on the plate at such an angle that they would drop off and hit the floor, poor waiter had it coming. Someone should have shouted "It's a trap!"
So after amusing ourselves and feeling a little bit better after some food we continued onwards to Colossus because that's a great ride just after you've eaten right?
I thought it was running quite well, either that or I managed to find that sweet spot where you don't hit your head on the restraint, probably the latter
It's just occurred to me what a random route we took throughout the day, hmm. Moving on. Noticing that Stealth had re-opened we headed over there. It was good to be back on it tbh, I do like Stealth (well, launch coasters in general) and sitting behind Maddie was hilarious. She screamed so loudly for the entire 17 seconds that all of us at the back of the train were laughing so much that we barely noticed the actual ride

I think it was either Richard or Neal who called for Rumba to be the next ride of choice. It had a bit of a queue and the ride was rather dry, oh mainland European rapids we miss you.
Nemesis Inferno was our next ride. I do like Inferno, obviously it's not as good as lots of other European B&M inverts but it's still nice to have something decent so local.
Peeps wanted to ride Detonator next so that's what happened.
I think we then did Stealth for a second time. I ended up sitting behind Maddie again and she screamed just as much as she did the first time round, highly amusing for all.
We were all just in the mood to leave but before we did that we opted to ride one more ride and that ride would be....
Flying Fish of course! Not a lot I can say about the Fish apart from it's very average and we went round 3 times.
So yeah, then we left, exhausted and just in search/need of bed. Thanks for reading!
