Me and Doomega (Coaster Zone Member) braved it out in the cold and the snow at Thorpe Park yesterday, It was a rather entertaining, sadly one my favourite rollercoasters at Thorpe (Colossus) was unavailable due to the extreme cold weather. The Swarm and Nemesis Inferno started out on 1 train operation, and extended to two train operation at 11:20 and 13:00 respectively.
We managed to get a fantastic count on The Swarm, which we did a whooping 26 times, and 1 go on Nemesis Inferno, because we were committed to get a high count on Swarm we only did the two coasters. 10 of the 26 times were on the front row of The Swarm which is amazing, and the new near miss billboard is brilliant especially from the front row.
My photos:
The Swarm Zero-G
The Swarm entering the Corkscrew
The Swarm's second train testing after being added to the track at 11:20
Samurai operating whilst Saw The Ride was closed due to the bad weather conditions
Colossus' final heartline roll, sitting ideal due to bad weather conditions
Swarm train sitting in station about to be dispatched after breakdown for a test run
The Swarm going up the lifthill after the breakdown, without riders
The Swarm exiting the corkscrew, and heading into the turn around to enter inline twist
The Swarm flying over the station
Nemesis Inferno's Zero-G
Slammer was working, now that is a rare sight!
