Themepark hotel deals

Mega Poster
Hey all,
Just a quick question, been looking around for hotels close to the towers to stay in an it's coming up with some awsome prices, but I'm just wondering has anybody seen or heard any deals for either or both of the on park hotels?

Any hints/tips of places to look or heat have you be greatly appreciated!!!
Cheers peeps!!

You used to be able to go on LastMinute.com and get some amazing deals for the Alton Towers hotel, wether or not that's still going ahead is a different scenario. :)

Aye worth a shot, also gonna pop into local travel agents as some do hotel breaks an what not, but tbh only looking for hotel tix at the mo as I've already got a 2for1 for the park

^ I have found loads of hotels local to the towers which are cheap just looking too see if their are any deals for the on park hotels rather then in the local vacinity, but thanks anyways

I'm guessing you don't have an annual pass, as obviously you get reductions if you do.

Also worth checking if anyone you know works somewhere that has a corporate discount scheme, for example http://www.kaarp.co.uk/ Local authorities tend to often have stuff like that, but I'm sure other companies do too. Also worth checking if anyone is in a Union etc with access to similar. They usually do discounts on Merlin tickets and hotels.

Similarly, there's some clubs/organisations that give Merlin discounts for their members - The Camping and Caravanning Club being just one example.

Failing all of that, it will take a bit of work to weed out the rubbish/expired ones, but a quick google found some offers. Here for example - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/altontowers.com

And I've just realised that you actually asked this weeks ago. Argh. Never mind.

Last time I stayed over by the Towers was at the Travelodge at Donnington Park services on the M1. Its about 30 miles from Alton, so only any good if you're coming from the Derby/Nottingham direction.

And obviously Travelodge's are only worth staying in if you can get the dirt cheap room online.

Cheers for the comments guys. I found a Jury's Inn in derby for just under £40 with breakfast aswell and only about 20 odd mins from the towers themselves. But thanks again for the help!!
