Is there anyone that have a good Spreadsheet design to keep track of their credit, including some useless informations about the rides?

This topic: http://www.coasterforce.com/forums/view ... hp?t=27796 got me thinking about which manufacturer I have ridden the most, and since I'm not that geeky to have a spreadsheet yet I have no idea on what to answer...

Any help would be appreciated...

CP6 has the most amazing spreadsheet around. I used it as a guideline to make mine.

As creator of the topic you mentioned... I realised i had no way of answering it myself. I made a simple, but effective spreadsheet this morning. You are welcome to view/copy it.

It's in order that i rode them... roughly, i had to guess/remember some before i became an enthusiast. But the drop-down filters allow you to sort the rides however you wish, really.

Thinking about it, i might include some stats in there too, Height, Speed, etc.

I have one, but it is NOT good

It's just a simple. Ride Name, Park, and if it's a credit or not :) Then I used a concatenation to put it all together into a format CF could understand :)

I prefer to use CoasterCounter to be honest to keep a real track and my spreadsheet is based off an export from that anyway.

^^^ I will have to see if CP6 answers to this thread, I have herd talks about his spreadsheet before...

^^ Interesting, but as I said above, I would love to see some more info about the rides, and also is there a way to search a column and see how many times a certain value occurs, ex. all the "Arrow" in the manufacturer column?

^ I don't like the way CoasterCounter.com works, and it don't really work properly on my computers...
I prefer to use Coaster-Count.com since it's easier to use and get a better overview of (and that it have a Mobile portal). But it don't contain that much other info then just the necessary to keep track of your credits...

^ I'm adding Height, Length, Speed, Duration, G-Force& Max Angle to mine.

And yes... using the filters (they look like drop down buttons by each of the titles, you can select what information to display. So, on mine, click manufacturer, then Arrow, and you can see I've ridden 6 Arrows.

^^ Nice, I weren't sure on about how they worked at first, but is there a way to sort all coasters/parks/countries/inversion count/speed/length/etc. by letter/number?

^^ Apparently not. Sorry. CP6's sheet might have got that sorted, but its not a feature i know about myself.

Access is where it's at, apparently.

Too bad I never figured out how it worked.

Nah, for a listing like this I'd just use Excel. It's touching on Access, but any benefits you could get are more than far out weighed by the amount of manual effort required to get it into Access in the first place.

Though I'd be tempted to set the listing up in Excel, then import it as a table in Access for reporting.

Well, I say I'd be tempted, I wouldn't, because that would clearly be a very poor way of using my time

Mine is simple and easyish to navigate:

You can sort of get the jist of what I do.

Nice :)
Shame that you don't use metric, since then you could use the "Top 10" on the find function on length and height as well :)

As it looks at the moment then this is the one I will use in the future, with some modifications to it...

I just list them in word in the order I first rode them with how many times I have rode them in brackets. But then again I'm not really bothered about listing height and g-force etc. as it says it all on Coastercounter.

I also use coaster-count, mainly because it includes travelling coasters which is very useful.

I haven't got a spreadsheet but I've got a notebook instead and I just write the name of the coaster and park (if I've been on two rides with the same name) :)
