Smooth Woodies

Ten years old or so. Some age betters. Terminator is already up there in roughness in my opinion, it's all park maintenance.

The question has to be "why do you want a smooth wooden coaster?" Okay, I can understand avoiding back-breakers, but some jolting is all part of the excitement of the ride.

GCIs for sure, as well as the newer Gravity Group coasters like Ravine Flyer II.

I was most surprised yesterday at SFMM on how smooth Collosus was, despite being an honestly decreprit looking coaster.

I rode Apocalypse/Terminator at easter and i did not think it was rough or uncomfortable at all and in fact i found it pretty smooth for a wooden coaster. I even rode it n the back row and it was still smooth for a woodie plus it was totally awesome, it is one of the few woodies i have ridden where i am comfortable to sit in the back row and not worry that it is going to be rough

El Toro.
Smooth as glass.

Lightning Racer at Hershey Park. It used to be silky smooth, surprising for a "traditional" and GCI ride, and even today, in the back row...it was not rough at all. More like a few shakes than roughness.

Wooden Warrior at Quassy Beast at KI is Running amazing this season lots of retrack over the off season! El toro and before anyone asks me no Bolder Dash is not smooth nor a top 10:)
