So unfortunately one of my friends from high school and his brother died in a car crash a few days ago, and so I had to make an unexpected trip to San Antonio for the funeral. It was a quick in and out trip, but had just under 2 hours after the funeral ended and driving back to the city to do something before going to the airport so I figured I'd do a quick credit run at Sea World. (Didn't think I could do SFFT in that short of a time.) Of course once I tried going to the airport there was a bomb threat at the San Antonio airport so everything was delayed and nobody could get in or leave. (Maybe some of you saw on the news?) So, with all that going on that's why I hadn't kept up with the Coaster Tournament too well the last couple days.
Anyway, on to the park. I got no photos sorry. I was really just quickly running around to get the three credits in time, and not get heat stroke at the same time. I started with Steel Eel which was a walk on, followed by Great White which was also a walk on, so I figured I would make time real well. Once I got to Journey to Atlantis, there was a 45 minute wait + it went down for about 15 minutes while I was waiting, so that ate up almost the rest of the time. I did a quick walk through the penguin encounter thing right after then headed on out.
Steel Eel- 8.5/10
I was happily surprised by this coaster! Though I enjoy Morgan Hypers I figured this being a small one, it would not live up to the others I've ridden and I was wrong. This actually had the best airtime of any of the Morgan coasters I've ridden, it just is too short. Plus the MCBR practically stop you as well. This goes right up there with the other Morgan Hypers though in my opinion.
Great White- 9.25/10
It's a Batman the Ride clone, so I knew what to expect. I haven't really thought about where I'd put it compared to the other BtR clones I've ridden, but this is probably somewhere in the middle. Not as forceful as I recall some being, but not the worst either.
Journey to Atlantis- 6/10
I knew this wasn't going to be much, but it was nice to cool down a little bit. Definitely not worth the wait, but needed the credit. Only get wet from shoulders up completely then some splash on the legs. I was able to keep my phone, wallet, etc in my pockets without them getting wet at all.
Overall the park seemed nice walking through it, but not quite up to the Orlando Sea World. I did not get the Shamu Express credit as I decided no more kiddie coaster credits for me when I'm alone at the park. Not that much of a credit whore anymore.
With the circumstances obviously wish I never would have had to go out there, but had to do something to brighten the day a little as well.
