Samurai - 'For Sale'?

Martyn B

CF Legend
http://www.ridetraders.com - Page 6 of the used products section, there's a Mondial Topscan, with 2 pictures, both of them look like Samurai (1 definitely is).

Obviously they could have just used the pictures for generic use, but I dunno...

Out of curiosity, is the Thorpe version a travelling one or a static one?

The one for sale here is of the travelling variety it states!

I remember hearing that Samurai is a travelling model, as they dont do permanent model Topscan's?

I only heard it, I ain't sayings it 100% official, but that is what I heard not so long ago.

You usually know your **** Martyn, so I don't doubt you. But I've heard plenty of people say this isn't Samurai in the listing. It's just that it's the most widely photographed individual.

I'd always assumed that it was a travelling one, even if it had been adapted slightly for permenant location. The ride plaform etc always looks to me like a travelling one. Like I say though, that's purely my own assumptions. No evidence involved at all.

^ I assumed the same. It looks pretty much exactly like the ones I have seen travelling except for the entrance and exit ramps to the platform (of course).

Yes the picture is of Samurai, but the height measurements are different. The one for sale is twenty metres tall, whereas I believe Samurai is just eighteen.

Interesting if Samurai actually gets removed what could TP be planning.
I know there is ment to be 2 majour rides installed between 2010 to 2016 according to their Medium Team Development Plan (MTDP)

To be honest, I don't like Samurai so if it is up for sale I don't mind if it gets removed for something new :)

I doubt they would remove Samurai though, it always seems to be an incredibly popular ride. That's just from what I see though, for all I know it could be really problematic or expensive to run or whatever.

Removing it wouldn't free up that much room either, surely?
