Roller Poster
Swiss manufacturer, the most important manufacturer in the sector of
coasters is designing a new type of coaster, the 4-dimension coaster.
The company Bolliger and Mabillard is working on the design of this
prototype based on the wing coaster model. This new ride will offer
amazing features such as the rotation, which will make it much more
thrilling.

This coaster prototype is a new evolution of wing coaster model, in
which a rotation facility is included in order enable the wagons
displace 360 degrees around its axe. Due to this rotational element,
the passengers are going to feel different kinds of emotions and G
forces, which will make it a unique coaster.

Despite the fact that we do not know exactly how long it will take the
company to create their first prototype, what we have already know is
that they are already working on this project. According to the
development of this prototype, there are two parks interested in the
acquisition of this prototype, Parque Warner Madrid (Spain) and World Joyland (China) because they have recently been working together with this designer.

Like we've never heard this rumour before... Although it would be great, I just don't see it myself.

Where's your source/proof?

Screamscape and possible looking too far into things.

Hell, there are Cedar Point fanboys that would argue that it would be for The Point. ALL because of how the project is titled (supposedly).

CP Alt.Winged13

They believe the Alt stands for alternate and that instead of just a typical Beemer Wing, they would get the first Beemer 4D.

Oh I saw this on screamscape before. I can see them making one, but not for another few years thats for sure. Seen's as the winged coaster is doing so well at the moment, their is no need to rain on this glory by making an even better version of the winged coaster, if you know what I mean.

Of course they are going to build 4th dimension coasters, and of course they are going to build launch coasters.
If it's 5 years down the road, or 50 nobody knows except B&M, but they are surely going to build them at some point in the future.

^ B&M do, however, believe that they will stick to the more 'classic' style of coaster with a lift hill. However they do have the technology, as proven with Krake's magnetic brakes.

Re: -Rumour- B&M 4-dimension coaster

B&M will eventually make a launch coaster with their own designed launch and will eventually do a 4D. They take their time to test and modify before they ever give out a final design. Raptor took what, 3 years I heard to finally be built? The 4D will come eventually.

I really wouldnt consider anything beyond their Hypers and regular sit downs as classic.

It would seem you didn't read my post, Intricks. A coaster with a lift hill is far more 'classic' that one with a launch...

Obviously I have no idea, but I really wouldn't have thought that Parque Warner would be wanting to spend money on that scale....

TBH, the park is long overdue for a new adult-sized coaster (I am not countin Correcaminos). And besides, when the park opened it was rumoured that Six Flags wanted to built a clone of X themed to "The Mask".

I would be surprised if it turns out to be true, though...

^ Yeah, the park is over due a new adult coaster, but my comment was more aimed at low visitor numbers that the park attracts. Would they want to risk such a large amount of money when it might not have any affect? I know you could say that for most parks, but still.

Its widely know how quiet the park always is, and if they really wanted to change that, I would have thought they would go for much 'cheaper' option than prototype from B&M.

Yeah. It's quite odd that the supposed inferior park (PdA) gets A LOT more visitors than Warner does. In fact, when PdA was aware that Warner was being built, they refurbished the park and started the trend of adding adrenaline rides (Tornado and La Lanzadera were the first additions).

I think if Warner was to exist in America it would be rammed with people. Two B&Ms, a GIB and some other unique rides? Not a bad ride selection. I take it that the low numbers are because of location and lack of public transport to get to the park...

Anyway, I don't think this will appear before 2014, because Warner are getting a water park in 2013...

Parque Warner Madrid is getting a water park next year? I never saw any sign of construction going on anywhere near the park...

I take it that the low numbers are because of location and lack of public transport to get to the park...

It does feel like its in the middle of knowhere, but there is a train station over the car park, so...

My bad, I thought you were going more specific than that. Hahaha.

well - there is a train station right next to it!

But due to cutbacks in Madrid's public transport, the number of trains has been highly reduced. In fact, some trains only reach Pinto and then you need to take a shuttle bus to the park...

I know the original rumour was that B&M were working on a 4th dimensional coaster and that the wing rider at Gardaland (and maybe a couple more) was supposed to help them calculate the forces of a winged train before they could advance in their research. I don't know, maybe B&M are already finished with their research and would be capable of producing a 4D coaster. BUT it would be really stupid from a business perspective to release that product now when they're having such a success with their winged coasters!

I wouldn't be against such a move - the 4D concept is the best one out there. Combined with B&M's smoothness and 1st class inversions it would be a knock out.

But the proof is in the pudding - I won't bite until I see actual proof of progress.

I agree that this is no rumor. B&M will take the wing coaster to the 4th dimension.

Not sure if this is what Cedar Point is getting next year, but honestly, who else is going to bite? It's very plausible.

I'd be very interested to ride a B&M version of the 4D coaster. X2 was fun but the joltiness got to me after about 4 rides and I felt like it really detracted from an otherwise amazing coaster! If B&M pull this off with their trademark smoothness then I can't see these coasters being any less than perfect =]
