The other week I was passing by CWoA so I dropped into see the media manager. She kindly gave me a tour of the new hotel. I also had a ride on Vampire.
The new hotel is called Azteca. It's located on park with 69 themed bedrooms (that's 69 bedrooms, not rooms themed to a sex position), a new Savannah Splash water play zone within the leisure club, and a temple themed restaurant.
There's a chair that makes different animal noises when you sit on it.
First of the themed rooms.
The safe in the corner is cool. In every room there is a quiz sheet (count the number of spiders on the floor, parrots on the walls etc). The numbers then give you the code to unlock the safe where kids will find little surprises.
Mummy & Daddy Bed:
Here's the other themed bedroom.
One side of the hotel overlooks the park, the other overlooks the safari area.
The restaurant is pretty. There is a piranha fish aquarium and an ant farm.
The ants travel along a corridor next to the tables so diners can see the ants hard at work whilst they eat.
There's also this fountain thing that moves and has morphing lights. Amanda Thompson would love it.
There we have it. I know it's not the most exciting of trip reports but it's a chance to look inside the alternative to the Tolworth Travelodge. The hotel is owned and run by Merlin.
