On the weekend just passed my fiancee took 2 pregnancy tests and they both came up with a faint positive, Ive now gone and bought a digital test to take this weekend which i hope will give a definate answer, However we also have a romantic trip to Blackpool booked this weekend (by romantic i mean whoring PBB's fine coaster collection) , If the test comes up positive my bet is she will be 5-6 weeks pregnant meaning no coasters for her. But i was wondering if anybody has any rough clues as to wether or not she will be able to ride the water rides? especially as she was more excited to ride Valhalla over any coaster!...... Thanks in advance.

Vallhalla is a pretty fast paced and rough water ride. It smashes into doors and the sides quite a bit so it's probably not a good idea if she's pregnant.

Ask any of the 16 year old girls in Blackpool, pretty sure they'll all have been to the Pleasure Beach pregnant a few times.

You should delay the vacation, go to a doctor, and get an answer. That is much more important.

Well in England the Doctor wont see you if the off the shelf pregnancy test says your pregnant because their tests are no more accurate "apparently", They refer you straight to a mid-wife.

As for blackpool, Everything is paid for already so we shall still go, and as she isn't a huge coaster fan she's not worried about riding. Adding to the fact that we got lots of pregnancy friendly activities planned outside the pleasure beach it should still be a fantastic trip either way. :--D

Well I'm sorry, but this is a medical question NOT a coaster question. If you want to know how safe it will be go ask someone who is actually trained in these things. Don't **** around with stuff like this.

All we're doing is telling you to actually ask someone who knows what they're talking about. Don't bother with the Pleasure Beach if you're unsure. It'll still be there in nine months...

I'm sure the River Caves would be fine, but in all honesty, is it really worth it?

Oh, and dont tell the PB that she's pregnant, they will charge extra!

Congratulations on your news if it comes through. Play it safe and avoid anything even slightly adventurous. Valhalla is as intense as many rollercoasters, remember. Think of all the years you'll have of taking your child to theme parks!

Everyone's acting like it's a certain miscarriage if she even steps foot into the Pleasure Beach...

If she's only 5-6 weeks pregnant... Well, so many mothers do stuff at that time because most women at that time don't even KNOW.

She's not jumping out of a plane, take it easy on the man for still going, I would...

Thanks for all the advice guys, I certainly won't be **** around with this, the only reason i asked about Valhalla was because Rollercoasters mainly state there G-Forces as Valhalla im unable to obtain facts about its forces but our safest bet is to avoid it, I coulnt live with myself if something was to happen.
She still wants to go to the pleasure Beach and not ride as she's an amateur photographer and wants to take some pics which we can hopefully compile into a cracking PTR. Thanks again for all your advice. :--D

Well Ben.. there is a difference between going when you know and when you don't know.

Fact is.. people have done cocaine that early and been fine.. and smoke a cigarette and came out with a child with a mental deficiency. But are you willing to risk the life of a human being on 'not being sure'?

I know for damn sure I wouldn't be that selfish having known about my lady being pregnant. But to each his own.

Yeah, OK.

Don't go! She WILL do an Amanda Holden! Don't let her leave the house until she has popped.
