Patriots zero g roll

The floating you feel is unlike any other invert I've been on.. which is almost all in the united states.

Yeah, it's a perfect zero-G roll. There's no whipping, there's no change in force, you go completely weightless and the train gently rolls around you, and then you enter the pull-out with a smooth transition to positive Gs. It's perfect.

No other zero-G roll has a feeling like it, certainly not on inverts. That snapping which is so common (and I don't particularly like) is non-existent.

It's ok.

I do prefer the forceful snap that you get on Batman, Talon, or Raptor.

The inversion I like best on Patriot is the opening loop, great forces!

It does what a zero g is supposed to do: provide a feeling of zero g. It's amazing. The ones that snap you over miss the whole point of the inversion completely.

The only one that's as good as Patriot's in that respect is Phaethon, which rides exactly the same, though Black Mamba's comes close.

I haven't been on Patriot, so I dont know, but what you described sounds just like OzIris' final zero-g.

Oh dear, i thought very little of ozIris's final zero g roll so i may not think patriots one is quite as good as most people think it is. I am a big fan of the zero g roll's that whip you round, but if it gives good floating sensation then i will still probably like it.

Thing is, if I want to be whipped around then I'll take the corkscrew/wingover - that's what they're designed for. Zero-Gs shouldn't whip you around.

I've only been on "whippy" inverted zero-g-rolls but I can tell from patriot's POVs that this one is different as seems to provide real zero G. I quite like the other ones, though, they add to the ride's intensity.

Since when was this topic about Wild Eagle? :P Plus you can't really say that if you haven't been on Patriot.

Never been on Patriot but the twisting part of the zero g roll looks similarly shaped to the one of Black Mamba which I loved.

Yeah, the newer ones have the rounded shape and manage to provide that floating feeling through the inversion. Using my phone, but have a look at Phaethon's to see what I mean.

The older ones are flat at the top and end up whipping you over - not a feeling of zero g at all if you ask me, regardless of the name.
