An unsuspecting Sunday in Britain in March. You'd expect it to be a dreary day of doing a lot of nothing much. Alas, how different could it, in reality, be!? A group of some goons made the journey to Old MacDonald's Farm off the M25 for the wacky worm cred and to look at some animals. Here are some stories of the day:
My day started at 11:30 when ATTACKHAMMER and family picked me up. We were excited for the first new cred of the year. We took the hour's drive down south before reaching a much-busier-than-anticipated farm. They'd been offering vouchers and that tied with a warm spring day meant the crowds turned out in droves. The car park was full so we had to park on a road. We ate our sandwiches cos we're cool. I had tuna and cucumber rolls, 4 of them.
We were due to meet some goons at 1pm so we joined the entrance queue at around 12:50. 10 minutes later than scheduled the goons joined us and merged in the queue where we were. The goons consisted of Darren B, Peep, Patrick and DelPiero + child. Finally we got in.
Once in we made a bee line for the cred, it's a cred after all. In the queue line we saw some llamas:
Darren B and DelPiero wanted a cigarette so we went on without them. ATTACKHAMMER went on the cred first...and on his own, because 'there was a space'. Have some pictures of the cred.
Next up was myself, Sarah, Peep and Patrick. Sarah and I crammed ourselves into the front row, Peep and Patrick behind. Their lap bar wouldn't close so were told to just hold it in place. As expected it was nothing more than a simple +1.
Of course we had to wait for Darren B and DelPiero and child to ride before we moved on. Have a picture of Darren B enjoying himself:
I wanted to go on the biiiig slide. But you needed a child, luckily DelPiero had one! I walked up the stairs with child (he was holding my hand, awwww), it was one of those slides where you get in a sack. While I was getting into it at the top, child had disappeared down the slide without me! How rude. So I had to look a right plonker going down on my own which I'm sure someone will have much merriment posting a picture of later.
We moved on to look at some animals. Rabbits, parrots and a chipmunk.
I thought their enclosures were terribly small especially given some of the rabbits.
Then we moved on to the M25 viewing platform, also known as pig pier. It was smelly.
I took a selfie with Peep, Darren B and a tiny bit of ATTACKHAMMER, with the M25 in the background:
Child decided he wanted picking up and carrying, Uncle Not So Hot Jordanovichy to the rescue!
We had a little wander around some more animals, sheep, pigs, meerkats, and a goose:
I took a picture of a massive cock:
This is me, selfie-ing in an animal enclosure:
We then went to watch a show which turned out to not actually be the show. We thought it was just some chickens clucking but once the goons had gone we went back and they all dance and sing!
The goons left just after 3, ATTACKHAMMER, family and I mooched around for a bit but decided to head off home anyway. We wanted an ice cream but due to it being the first day Britain has seen 20C since last September the whole site consisted of just 3 milky moos.
It was a great afternoon, plenty of laughs, and a +1! Wooo
