Goon of the Year
Couldn't think of a title for this, have you ever fallen asleep with something on, like a TV or some music? Or have you done both at 1 point?

I have now done both sadly, just thinking what the noise was. The TV is the worst as I heard a loud bang from a movie that was on.

I've fallen asleep with the tv or iPod on before, usually when I'm drunk.

If I'm sober, I can't sleep unless it's dark and there are no lights and noise distrubing. I hate little red standby buttons illuminated as well.

If I proper can't sleep, it's usually because I'm thinking of something, so I'll pop my iPod on so I can be distracted.

I used to put the tele on every night to go to sleep, but, with something I'd seen a million times on, usually Friends, though I stopped when I was about 16. Both my sisters still do it though, which is really bizarre since they're both mid-twenties now.

So, used to, occasionally now. And I can fall asleep in front of a tele for like a nap still...

I've fallen asleep in the cinema before during the 2nd Pokemon film. :P
I've also fallen asleep whilst with the TV and radio on before, but only when I've been really shattered and needed a nap!

If I'm really tired, then yep, no problem.

I used to regularly go to sleep with something mellow like Pink Floyd on the stereo.

I can nap with the TV on, but never sleep properly. So I will wake up if I sleep and the TV is on. I hate waking up and finding the TV on in the early hours.

Generally, I'm like Ian. I like things to be totally dark and totally silent to help me sleep, but over the years I've learned to be less "stressed" about it. It used to really wind me up and stop me from sleeping, now I'm pretty good...

I have a TV on the end of my bed and I normally put it on timer so I can fall asleep and not care if it on or not. I sleep in whatever conditions, turned on or not. I don't mind the noice and its sometime nice to have on in the background.

The speakers will always be on unless I kick the button. I like that off as the green light shines up the bed and its annoying.

Tbh I could just slap it off at anytime without moving as I have 2 remote controls zip-straped to the bed rails.

I have fallen asleep with the TV on many times, though never at night when I intentionally mean to go to sleep. Usually during the day when I sit down to watch TV, and just doze off...

I have only ever fallen asleep with music on once, and that was when I was listening to my mp3 player a few years back on a low volume.

Other that that, everything goes off when I drop off.

I've fallen asleep sometimes listening to podcasts on my iPod. And once I fell asleep playing the Dirt 2 demo on the PS3 as I was shattered and hadn't slept in a couple of days.

I can't do that; if I'm turned on, I need to sort it out - also helps you sleep ;)

I can only sleep in bed with no sounds at all.

Yet I fall asleep watching films or music when laying on a couch.

I've fallen asleep a couple of times both when watching tv and listening to music.

Latest time for the tv was when I was watching Golden Eye, I was super tired after a four day swim meet and it was like ten at night, I fell asleep during the main action part at the end and woke up at two-ish.

I fall asleep with my ipod on often, it annoys me though because I always wake up once a louder song comes on, and I don't sleep well because of the noise.

Like others, I prefer complete darkness, no noise, ect.

I can hardly ever fall asleep with the TV on unless I'm very very tired, but I can fall asleep with music on. But I do prefer silence

I'm so annoyed that you got there first with that one. I had a much better joke lined up. It involved Thorpe Park, Beans and everything!

I have with the TV on, but then again, most people have dozed off at some point when sitting in front of the TV.

Music, not so much, I don't tend to listen to it much when I'm in the mood to sleep. If that makes sense.

No, because that would look like I'm swinging off furie's coattails and would take the shine of his joke. The moral of the story is don't do any work at work and stay on CF all day. Hurrah!

The only time I have was when I was watching Lord of the Rings and Avatar.

Long and boring so they made me tired.
