Apparently, these are B&M trains...? Though that is just what people are saying in that thread, there's no actual proof (in that thread)

But regardless of who made them, they're a massive improvement!
 
I was really excited about this. I then spotted the leg restraints and thought they were a bit odd. Then I spotted the seatbelts, and lost the will to live.
 
I'm pretty sure they could have put Magical seats where you are held in by a light airtime allowing forcefield with lazy boy levels of comfort and a beer fed directly into the mouth and people would still find room to complain about the colour.

In my opinion they look excellent and sooo sooo much better than the Morgan Coffin Cars.
 
I'm in two minds really.

The old cars looked dreadful, and you really felt quite "contained" in them, but they rode ok.

These will give a very open feeling, which will be absolutely terrifying given the height of this thing and the fact that the lift hill is much slower than the other gigas. The seatbelts make no difference; I honestly don't know why people are bothered by that at all. Plenty of coasters have redundant seatbelts (including the old trains fro SD2000) and they have no bearing on the ride experience at all.

The only thing that concerns me is the leg restraint things; I really don't see a need for those at all and can see the potential for them to be overly restrictive.
 
^ I assume because the cars are so close together, you could potentially reach out in front, perhaps enabling things like manual release and suchlike (however this is difficult to do). Inverted coasters are different as the manual release is located above the seat, so you can't kick it or even reach it by hand. But hmm, I dunno if thats right, but thats my theory behind the leg restraints.
 
The leg restraints are to stop people sticking their legs out sideways I believe. The old box cars ensured that your legs couldn't move out sideways, whereas these new trains are much more open, meaning the rider envelope would be much greater than originally designed, so if a rider sticks their legs out they might hit something?
 
Looks like it would increase the airtime, but they look kind of odd. Seatbelts sound fine, But Leg Restraints? They might as well give us helmets and metal armor.
 
Intriguing - love the new openness, but train restraints are the ultimate make-or-break. The seatbelts are negligible, Non-OTSR Intamin's have redundant seatbelts. As gavin said, concern lies with the leg guards.

However, compared to the original trains, I am not too worried about the possible restrictiveness of leg guards.

The new trains are much more open than the previous traditional hyper coaster trains - my knees easily touch seat backs on both Morgan and Arrow Hypers. I'll gladly take leg restraints over the old, cramped trains.

While the new trains may not look as good as other B&M trains, they look better than the original.
 
Wow! Crazy.

Well B&M trains are the best for hypers, will it increase the airtime? I'd imagine it must a little bit the ride is still the ride, right?
 
I personally don't like the restrictive leg restraints, because I have issues with being restrained for long periods of time (though something tells me I won't be making a trip overseas anytime soon). Though I think the trains themselves look infinitely better.

Sorry. This is impossible to do. The manual release on standard B&M hyper trains is under the floor, through a hole. The ones on Raging Bull were manipulated by a giant wrench, with a jaw about 2" across and the tool was about 3 feet long.

Yeah I dunno why SC didn't know that, the leg brace is surely to stop people sticking their legs out and injuring themselves.
