Mirabilandia recomendations

Hey there!

I'm planning a vacation to Italy and (hopefully) Mirabilandia in august and would like some advice! :)

I would like to know from you who have visited the park where you stayed? I've mostly checked out Rimini since it's nearby and is set next to the sea. Another alternative is Bologna wich is quite a bit cheaper but set far away from the ocean (which my gf strongly dislikes :P).

I also wonder what airport you flew too? So far Bologna seems to be the cheapest (half the price to Rimini) but I might have missed out other better alternatives?

All input on the park itself is also greatly apreciated :--D can't wait! It looks stunning, a little small but both Katun and iSpeed looks amazing!

Thanks in advance!

Ooh, is miribandila near lake como? And is gardaland anywhere near? As I am pretty sure bologna is near lake como. Sorry for hijaking your question.

Mirabilandia is not very close to Gardaland. It's almost 100 miles away. A quick look on RCDB did that one for me. ;)

As for it's location, I thought Mirabilandia was on Lake Como, but it appears to be nowhere near! It's near a place called Ravenna.

EDIT: Sorry about not being to help with the original question.

I haven't been, but I was looking into this a few months ago (ended up just going to Paris instead), and my intention was to go to Mirabilandia from Rimini.

Obviously, I don't know what flight prices will be like for you, but from here Ryanair or Easyjet (can't remember which) have recently opened up a route there. As you said, is on the coast and looks like a really nice place actually. Transport to the park from there seemed quite simple as well.

So I have returned from my trip! :) For those interested I stayed in Rimini which is a nice little place, although a little bit too "touristic" for my taste.

From Rimini you have several options to get to Mirabilandia. Driving is of course the fastest if you have access to a car. Otherwise the train runs ones every hour and the journey takes only 30 mins. The downside with this is that the connectionbus who runs from the station to the park also only runs ones every hour and the bus/train don't always match. And last there is coaches that drive from several stations in Rimini. Comfortable but the traveltime with them is 1 hour+.
