Ohio has two major parks and while the flagships of these parks is up for debate, there is argument that it is a purple-ish coaster for both parks. Both provide some moderate forces, both deliver amazing night rides complete with gorgeous lighting packages, and both have been considered the best ride at their park despite not being the biggest. They're just "it's a good ride" coasters to most. Which do you like better?

Gotta give this one to Millennium. While Banshee is one of my favorite coasters and I go down there all the time to ride it, no steel coaster on the planet can even compare to Millennium when it's running nicely. The view is fab, the drop is insane, and the fact that it never let's up makes it one of my favorite coasters. And while Banshee had its lovely nightmarish lights, Millennium on a summer night with all the rides around it lit up is one of the most beautiful night rides you can get.

So...Banshee or Millie?

I'm sorry Jarrett, but there's so much much wrong with this topic.

Firstly - Banshee isn't the signature ride at Kings Island, Beast is. And even in the steel stakes - Diamondback is still the parks signature steel coaster. Millennium Force I'll give you, however, I personally think TTD is CP's signature attraction.

Secondly - You can't compare Inverts to Giga's.

Thirdly - To say that there is no coaster in the world that can compare to Millennium Force is complete and utter bollocks. When you've riden Bizarro, Skyrush, El Toro, EGF, Helix, Colossos etc. come back and make that claim. But for someone to make that claim off the back of 123 coasters is farcical.

These are two very different tiers of roller coaster, and really is a case of comparing apples to oranges.

While Banshee is one of the best B&M inverts out there, MF operates on an entirely different level.

I would agree with Darren, Banshee is a supporting cast coaster for Kings Island, much the same way Gatekeeper, Magnum, or Raptor is for Cedar Point. Good roller coasters, but not the prime attraction (I'd argue Diamondback and Beast share that duty for KI).

And there is also nothing purple about MF.

There you go! Purple.

Like said before, Gigas can't compare to Inverts. Maybe Mill. Vs. Diamondback or Banshee Vs Raptor would work better.

But this is tough. I found my ride on Millennium extremely underwhelming. Sure the view and drop is nice, but the rest is 'eh'. But I have yet to ride Banshee, so I "have" to give it to Millennium.

I understand that the two aren't your typical coaster comparison, but I have heard Banshee compared to Millie and similar coasters by other local enthusiasts, so it was really just me wanting to see what CF thought.

I'm gonna go ahead and say the other "local enthusiasts" can't be very good enthusiasts considering I think we pretty much all know that you can't compare an invert to a giga. That being said, people DO keep a top ten coaster list or a top hundred coaster list, meaning that they have to pit every variety and type of coaster against one another, deciding which they think is better.

I haven't been on Banshee, so I can't really say. I'd ASSUME I'd like it better than Millennium simply because I've heard it compared to Nemesis and that is one of my favourite coasters, but yah, no way to know really.
