I would go along but already travelling down the day after.
They don't give you much details about it do they. What have they done to make it different?
Alton isn't really in the north, it's more midlands and across the UK as a whole it's a well into the southern half of the country. It is the highest quality and is around two hours away from me which is OK, but I think they could have put a similar event on at York as well?
Of course Merlin are going to be southern biased, their HQ is in Poole, Dorset, so it's easier for them! Besides, with the majority of Merlin attractions being in the south, that's where the majority of the Merlin Pass holders are likely to be.
Although I do agree, there is no harm in having the same event in York or Edinburgh.
I won't be attending this event. Travelling to/from the centre of London on a Thursday evening doesn't appeal.
And Mysterious Sue, the north is anything above the M4.
