Lightwater Valley - Future?

Lightwater Valley 2025 season map. The rocking tug replacing Eagles Claw is named Spin Bug. Nothing replaces the rocket rollercoaster. Alice’s Car Ride rethemed back to Vintage Cars. New mascot merry go round in the undercover fairground area. New pop up food village next to the bigger Carousel

I wonder what the impact of Eagle's Claw leaving the park will have.

The pessimist in me is thinking they're in danger and could be the next park to close in the UK.

I'd certainly imagine rides like Powder Kegs and Flying Cutlass will end up going elsewhere in the coming seasons with less thrilling rides coming in to replace them.

Tbh eagles claw always had a queue when I went back in 2022 & 23 it was the most popular ride on park after Splash Falls. Bizarre decision removing it imo even know they used to advertise it a lot. I noticed from comments on the page people aren’t happy

I think what will end up affecting them the most is their decisions. They're not really smart decisions going forward either for the family or thrill markets.

Whilst a Zyklon would've been a smart move, it likely wasn't the smart move picking up one that was rumoured to be condemned at their previous park. It would've been smarter to go with SBF brand new. The other thing would've been looking at something else that fits that gap such as a Wild Mouse or Spinning Coaster although those are tricky with their history of Reverchon Spinning Wild Mouse coasters.

A log flume would've been a great addition to the park and I'm surprised one hasn't been added as of yet.

Getting rid of one of the park's most popular rides isn't sensible and it's going to bite them in the long run in my opinion. I think Lightwater Valley is in it's last season or two either operating as a theme park as a whole or with it's remaining bigger rides in the park where only children's rides will be available from then onwards i.e. Sundown Adventureland

I'm genuinely curious if Livingston Leisure is still running the place to be honest. 🤔

I was honestly up for the Brighton Pier Group to somewhat save the park but they keep doing what Livingstone did remove rides and replace them with something poor and cheap. They’ll never learn

Ran in Bulgaria for a few years before being sold to Camel Creek, where it then ran for around three years before the park decided they were sick of it, then Lightwater bought it off them. Allegedly Camel Creek said the ride was "beyond economical repair", could only have one car on the track at any time, and ran terribly too.
And yet it lives on. A small Brazilian park (Parque Guanabara) announced today that they would import their first-ever coaster, Skywalker, from the UK and reposted some local enthusiast account saying that this was the culprit.

I imagine they too will come to regret it; https://www.instagram.com/reel/DMppiInO7oS/

Meh they can sell in to India when it doesn't work out.

The ride refuses to die. It will still be going when we are all 6ft under.

This particular coaster still seems to keep getting revived when it's had so many problems. I wonder if it's the coaster itself of the maintenance that is prohibitive to make it reliable again?
