Legoland Windsor new 2012 attraction

So, according to their facebook status today, Legoland Windsor are getting a new attraction in March. The Rocket Racers attraction will close for good on Monday, so that work on its replacement can begin. I don't recall hearing any news of this before? Anyone got any idea what they're getting?

I quite like that attraction (even though I'm TERRIBLE at it), so it's a shame its going. The throughput is appalling though, so hopefully they'll be replacing it with something with a higher capacity.

Yeah, I did wonder if they'd just use it to extend the museum. Kinda makes sense what with it being the same building, but still a mistake if you ask me.

God, Legoland is awful. They need to install something substantial soon or it's going to start getting as many complaints as Chessington.

^To be fair, though, most visitors would easily go there for the LEGO alone. At least, the Danish park is viewed as a place with awesome LEGO models, great atmosphere and a few meh-ish attractions that don't focus on the tiny bricks.

Myself, I much appreciate the slow attractions going past the epic models at a leisurely pace to the big rides that throw you around with a vague theme. Despite being a coaster fan, I appreciate the craftmanship with LEGO bricks more. The attractions sort of come second.

I'd love to see mini land get an attraction of it's own...even a junior drop tower would do...

However, I've got a bad feeling that they'll replace the rocket racers with something similar!

^ Don't forget that the park already has 2 frog hopper things and the self-propelled tower. They don't need any more drop rides.

I actually like the idea of an expanded Mini Land.. It is the most interesting thing in the Lego parks, and where I spend most of my time/have most memories of.

Buuut maybe thats just because it doesn't have a whole lot else though..

While I like Miniland, they should keep this attraction as I do have fond memories of me as kid failing at it. I used to always hold up everyone aswell with me taking ages to design my car.

I say, keep this or put lego racers back on sale.

Lego Racers however fun an attraction it was, was actually a horrible thing to keep running... Hence why it closed the first time... Last time I did it the steering was absolutely buggered (and I still won, like a boss ;))

An indoor Miniland is a good idea, as long as they do justice to it... Being indoors will actually mean that it'll look good a few years later, rather than broken, weathered or just dead...
